    Rifle Scopes Nikon scope help

Okay, so then I misinterpreted what spring loaded reset meant? I do what I mentioned above, then simply line things back up for zero manually? They don't spin back to where they were? I'm thinking kind of like a pull out cord from a vacuum cleaner. I'm new to scopes in general and don't have...

    Rifle Scopes Nikon scope help

Hey all, so I bought my first scope last night (besides the one that came atop of my Remmy 597), had it mounted to my gun at the shop. I'm new to this whole scope thing, I've always been an iron sights kind of guy. So I chose the Nikon monarch 3 in 4-16x50mm because it seemed to fit my needs...

Present for a friend, need advice.

Yes, my concern not not ruining the value of the gun but making it rust easily. The gun will be used hunting and will be getting wet. I just want to get my buddy a life time gift.

Is that something that a gunsmith would do?

Present for a friend, need advice.

Hello, So I'm thinking about buying a friend of mine a Remington 870 as a graduation gift. I've been toying with the idea of writing a message on it. I was wondering if anyone would know how to do so in a way that will last but not ruin the gun: I have metallic sharpies but that'll wear off...

    Best shooting truck for me??

You might want to consider a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. There is PLENTY of room for 5 people and all the gun stuff you want (especially if you get a roof rack, but it's not really needed). Now as far as reliable, my dad owns one and it goes, no matter what. They are HIGH maintenance though. I...

New Member from Canada (Plus have a couple questions)

Personally, I have never been lucky enough to get a tag or deemed a hunter. I do know though, that the boys use .308's here on the east side and drop the moose in a shot. People tend to have a common miss-conception that calibers aren't strong enough or "are only good for" certain animals. I...

New Member from Canada (Plus have a couple questions)

Welcome! Where a bouts in Canada are you from? The .308 is used for long ranges of up to 1000+ yards. .338 is used for upwards of 2700 yards (crazy, I know, check it out on youtube). A .308 will drop anything you hunt in Canada. Also, unless you're in the prairies I doubt you'll have anywhere...

Can anyone ever touch your gun?

I REGULARLY take people to the range that have never used a firearm before, I teach them the safe handling and proper use of firearms. I have two roommates, one has guns, the other (my girlfriend) loves to shoot with us. We go to the range all the time. I believe that people are disgustingly...

New duty weapon, I want your suggestions

How about a tt-33 tokarev, I see them (in Canada) for $190 (surplus, $250 for unissued/new zastava) ALL the time and the ammo is ~200 for 2880 rounds! And they're actually not bad for plinking as they are reliable/easy to maintain. That would most definitely make a point!

    Barrett MRAD 308 conversion kit

I must be missing something here... Why make a .338 LM riffle into a .308 Win? To me thats kind of like a boob reduction surgery - slaps ya in the face. Now I'm not saying that bigger boom is better, but my understanding is that the .338 is a beautifully engineered round to be very accurate at...

What model is that on? My buddy's 10 FCP-K didn't come with that and I'm hoping that my 10TR doesn't come with that when it arrives next month!

    Muzzle Discipline

The first time I used a scope I was 17 in the military, not even sure you'd call it a scope, we don't we refer to it as an optical sight, (1.4x soon I believe). Other then that, I fired my buddy's 10fcp-k with a scope on top this year, at age 20. I tell you one thing, I can out shoot a LOT of my...
