    Not sure if that rifle goes anywhere but my El cheapo 270 rem 700 with crap stock and factory trigger ( the older style) has stood the test of time. I've hunted from Montana to Michigan with it and it just works. Lost it out a window on a mountain, still killed an elk. Dropped from 15' tree...

    I hate snap on personally. The method I posted was mostly for fun. But you could put the thing in a deep freeze over night. Then use oxy acetylene to heat the brake (don't get it all the way to red). That could help you out. You could combine this with an impact or use an air chisel on the brake...

    I have a way.... Get a badass impact... Like the milwaukee lithium 1/2inch once. Put a big socket on it, so it goes over the brake. Cut the socket so you can slide 1-2 or 3 screwdrivers through the brake, and the socket will go over each side of the screwdriver( or other tool like that). Put...

    I let shooter app give me atmosphere, then I estimate the wind and put that in myself. It pulls the weather from the nearest weather station, but with me applying my own wind i usually do pretty well.

    If I'm huntint true LR on an animal I really don't like to rush it. I'd rather have it relaxed...But I can see the benefit here. Maybe I'll try shooting off the golf cart as I'm cruising the field. Train like I hunt ?. Either way, looks like I have work to do now

    Maybe its a price per performance deal. They arent the worst. I shoot at my corn planter offhand at 150 yards with them. 1/20 have a different sound when firing them.
