    Gunsmithing ADL Stock torque.

    Re: ADL Stock torque. the two outer screws i torque to 65 if it has pillars, 40-45 if just in original wood stock. the center one does nothing but hold front of trigger guard up. i use less on it than outer screws.

    Re: Pillars for Savage mark II FVT make your own from steel/aluminum thick wall tubing. some guys on Rimfire Central have used the threaded tubing that you find inside lamps. you can buy either type at hardware stores.

    Re: scope mounting, and fat wrench questions using the feeler guage is a very simple and fast way to get it done. you can also use sliding paralells if you have those. the Wheeler Fat wrench is junk. get a good in/lb torque wrench and be done with it.
