Those are my thoughts are far as needed magnification with the new cof. I took my athlon ares etr and was using it with my range finder on some smaller objects out the window and could see 1" clearly at 105y. (edit to add had my mag turned down to 14)
With the nicer glass I personally dont mind...

Did the old stock have a pressure pad at the tip? Like on an older magpul stock maybe? I know when I switched mine it shifted quite a bit lower but didnt measure by how much.
I heard its up to the match directors but they want to make sure hits can be called, they mentioned that at nations it was around 340 i think and they used the magnetospeed indicator.
Just picked up a pair of vortex crossfires for spotting and nrl22 fun, looking at this mount for my tripod. Any first hand experience with it? Looked like a much nicer mount than the universal which ive heard mixed reviews about.

I just stuck my sap holder on the side of the magwell, contours and all, seems to be holding strong, had three matches with it and no issues. To each his own I guess.
