    load development input please

Re: load development input please the differance was in the brass. Do you anneal it. Remember brass grows, or stretches. Might have caused thinner case walls, maybe enough to generate more heat to burn the powder quicker creating higher velocities. Maybe I'm wrong but that is the only thing...

90 gr bullets in 223 cal

Re: 90 gr bullets in 223 cal the barrel length 20" was a standard service rifle, the only draw back to it was the amount of pressure the rounds where created. some of the signs where a bit to hot, for comfort. Also the accuracy from the 80's where greater. I would personally recomened the...

90 gr bullets in 223 cal

Re: 90 gr bullets in 223 cal I have shot the 90 grain bullet in an ar platform. the only thing with them is that you have to have the chamber cut deep, that way you can get them push them out further, without jamming them. We where getting aroung 2850+ velocities. the only draw back to that...

Brass shows pressure signs with age?

Re: Brass shows pressure signs with age? From what you said I can think of two things. 1. you say its a hot load (book max) what was the temp wen you first fired it, and has the temps gotten hotter. High temps equal higher pressure. 2. You are resizeing them, but are you bumping shoulders...

    barrel fouling, pressure and accuracy

Re: barrel fouling, pressure and accuracy I would get in there an give it a good scrubbing. Cleaning with a bore snake is like wipeing a counter with coffee spills, you are just cleaning the surface. You need a good brush an good powder/copper solution of your choice. this will help break...

Trying to make a better match So Cal

Re: Trying to make a better match So Cal BoltRipper, I hear you about the range being really real estate, but my goal is to get input from various shooters and see what they would add or take away, as well as to add my ideas, after all I believe that if the shooter is not happy why should...
