Sidearms & Scatterguns Has anybody used these blades?

Re: Has anybody used these blades? Thanks guys! I've decided that if I ever want to do something like this that i'll just get all of the neccessairy equipment and start making my own blades instead of just buying pre-made units. I still think I would love making a hobby out of knife...

    Respectable Accuracy

Re: Respectable Accuracy I would suggest moving out to 50 Yards/Meters and shooting 5-shot groups instead of 3-shot groups. But, like DFOOSKING said, you should figure out what your needs are. A person who only hunts with his rifles doesn't need any...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Has anybody used these blades?

I stumbled across this place recently while looking for ideas for a project. I think it's a really cool idea so long as they are of decent quality. http://www.knifekits.com/vcom/index.php?cPath=2 I'm specifically looking at this knife...

what would be the best 22 for a big person

Re: what would be the best 22 for a big person You could just modify the stocks of your rifles to better fit your frame. LOP spacers are a good option. Adding an adjustable butt-piece would also help you. These would make the stocks of your current rifles fit you much better.

    22/17 or 223

Re: 22/17 or 223 Depends how big your hogs are. I would suggest a 22lr for hunting the little critters (rabbit, squirrel, etc...) with intention of eating the meat. 22wmr or 17hmr for general "small" pests (raccoons and such) because of the extra lethal range and the extra damage done to the...

    Barrel Length 22in or 16.5in?

Re: Barrel Length 22in or 16.5in? Velocity is slightly different and the way the rifle balances will be different. 16.5 will obviously weigh a litte less as well. It depends what you want to use the rifle for and then factor in your own personal preferences... I like long barrels, therefore I...

    Practice Rifle Advice

Re: Practice Rifle Advice I'm assuming you have experience with rifles chambered in magnum calibers right? I would hope you're not planning on jumping straight from the 22LR to the 338LM

Best material to make gongs out of?

Re: Best material to make gongs out of? I found a small section of 1/2" diamond plate in our scrap bin a while ago and decided that was going to be put to use. Still haven't found the time to get it cut up nice and pretty but it should do the trick

    Hunting & Fishing 110gr bullet .308 instead of .243?

Re: 110gr bullet .308 instead of .243? Not a 308, but my old 300WSM doubled as my yote rifle for a while and those 110's were rediculous. I'm sure they would be good in a 308 as well.

Running 140 miles in a week

Re: Running 140 miles in a week I wish I was a badass... That truly is a hell of an accomplishment! I would like to be able to run a good long distance like that, but the pain and boredom creep up on me eventually no matter what I do. It doesn't take more than 4 miles to happen. I think...

    rear peep sight

Re: rear peep sight I would go with the Williams or a Lyman sight on a budget. Personally I lean towards the Lyman 90 MJT. What I really want is one of those ~$200 units from REG Tooling so I can adjust the iris and have faith that the adjustments are repeatable. I read of problems with...

    600 yards 22LR pictures

Re: 600 yards 22LR pictures While we're off on this tangent I just want to note that there are a few bullets (none rimfire, mind you) that actually handle the transition from supersonic to subsonic incredibly well. The degree of accuracy depends on a number of things but the fact that you can...
