Has anyone used an Accurate Mag 3.715 or 3.85 338LM magazine in Surgeon's long action DBM? I really want to use the Surgeon bottom metal, but want to be able to load longer bullets. I'd like to hear any feedback about these magazines and the Surgeon DBM. Thanks.
Re: Question about the Wyatt Magazine Converstion
Chris,
As far as I understand, the only mags that work with the Wyatt's system are their mags. AI's won't fit.
Ok, so here's the situation: I got an incredible deal on a McMillan A5 stock for a 700LA with the thumbwheel cheek piece and spacer system for my Remington 700P 338 Lapua. The only problem is it is inletted for Badger M5 bottom metal. Now, I hear the Badger bottom metal is great, but I want...
Re: How many PST FFP's hit the market
I got two of the PST's in FFP 4-16. The first one had an issue on a lens, but Scott was very quick to replace it and I had the new one in hand within a week. The scopes are fantastic and for the money, you just can't beat it. The biggest complaint has...
Re: “How often do you clean your barrel ??????”
You'll find a lot of opinions on this matter, but I am an LE sniper, and I can tell you I clean my barrel after every shooting session and I punch the bore before I start a new session to ensure that the bore is the same for every cold bore shot.
Re: Vortex Viper PST 4-16X50 FFP Initial Impressions
I just wanted to chime in on this doom and gloom thread. I'm the "other guy" with the broken PST. I called Scott at Vortex this morning and he was very apologetic and they sent me a replacement out today and I should have it in a few...
Re: Got my Viper PST FFP in 4-16, disappointing though
Just wanted to give everyone an update. I talked with Scott at Vortex this morning. He was very apologetic and professional. He assured me that the scopes have been thoroughly tested and are checked before leaving, but mistakes happen...
Re: Got my Viper PST FFP in 4-16, disappointing though
I'm sure they will make it right. I haven't heard anything but great things about their customer service. Like I said, hopefully this is just the exception, not the rule. I just hope they have a way to repair/replace it sooner rather...
Re: Got my Viper PST FFP in 4-16, disappointing though
Here's the best I could do tonight. The scope isn't mounted on a rifle so I just had it rested on a step stool. The first picture is through the ocular lens and the second is through the objective.
Re: Got my Viper PST FFP in 4-16, disappointing th
I just looked through the objective and there is a great big piece of something on one of the internal lenses. I can't tell what it is but it looks like plastic maybe. I'll try to take some pictures later and post them.
Re: Got my Viper PST FFP in 4-16, disappointing th
Yes, at the lower settings the illumination is very dim. At the higher settings there is more than ample illumination though, so I think is just fine. My Leupld Mark 4 is illuminated as well and is only really useful at the higher settings as...
Re: Got my Viper PST FFP in 4-16, disappointing th
I figured they would. This is my first Vortex scope, but I've heard nothing but good things about the company. Hopefully you are right and they have a reserve for warranty issues, I'd hate to have to wait months for a resolution. At least I...
