    Flush cups on a trg?

Re: Flush cups on a trg? There are two screws, tightened into one another from opposite sides, holding the cups in the stock. If you want an HK-hook eye, you remove one screw and tighten the eye into the other piece. I hope it makes some sense. However the Sako QD sling attachments are...

    Angle Shooting Gear

Re: Angle Shooting Gear I use Leica 1600 Rangemaster and it shows the angle as well, which I enter into my Kestrel w Horus ATrag. But I am planning to mount an ACI on my rifle to have a non-battery option if technology goes belly up.

Help - Drop Truing on Kestrel 4500NV w Horus Atrag

I have the Kestrel with Horus ATrag and I would like to use the drop truing feature, however the manual is not very helpful and I can't seem to figure it out. Here are my issues: 1) The Drop Truing screen shows Range, Elevation and BC, while only the Range and BC can be adjusted. I tried to...

    Wrist watch that calculates DA

Re: Wrist watch that calculates DA It wasn't meant as an attack, just a side note. I agree that unless you can get the DA along the entire flight path, you are working with a limited precision. The same is true for wind. I also admit I never calculated DA by myself.

    Wrist watch that calculates DA

Re: Wrist watch that calculates DA DA is calculated from: temperature, STATION pressure and humidity. Unless the watch measures humidity, it does not calculate DA.

Buying Kestrel 4500 w Horus ATrag

We, me and my shooting buddy, just bought 2 K4500 w Horus. We needed a slightly non-standard delivery and one company simply ceased to communicate with me. I found AllKestrel.com, where the unit was for the same price and explained my request. I received a reply almost immediately: "No problem...

Which ammo to start zeroing the rifle ?

Re: Which ammo to start zeroing the rifle ? Stay away from Prvi Partyzan, it's machinegun quality ammo. Zero your rifle with ammo you are going to shoot. Buy the best ammo you can afford.

Laser Rangefinders - Zeiss vs. Newcon

Re: Laser Rangefinders - Zeiss vs. Newcon I am not doubting the Zeiss. The Newcon is cheaper and has longer declared range. I don't know the price of the Vectronix, I just know our military is using them and they are supposed to be excellent. If I can get the same or similar quality for less...

Laser Rangefinders - Zeiss vs. Newcon

Re: Laser Rangefinders - Zeiss vs. Newcon OK, but at what price? I don't need a lrf to reach to 4000 m, I shoot rifle, not a cannon. If the Vector costs considerably more, I don't care it measures over 1000 meters, effective range of my TRG 22 is 1000 m.

Laser Rangefinders - Zeiss vs. Newcon

Re: Laser Rangefinders - Zeiss vs. Newcon Thanks, I know the Binocular lrfs are better, I'm just not investing EURO 2500+ into a lrf. How much are the Vectronic monocular lrfs? Are they better than Zeiss?

Laser Rangefinders - Zeiss vs. Newcon

Hi all, I am doing my research on laser rangefinders and for a long time I was leaning towards the Zeiss Victory 8x26 T PRF. Now I've found another option: Newcon LRM 1500 SPD. My problem is I have never heard of Newcon, so I don't know what to expect in terms of quality and reliability, it...

    Sako TRG 22 stock issue

Re: Sako TRG 22 stock issue Thanks for all the effort. I am pretty sure I didn't make a mistake during the reassembly, especially because I determined the "gap" was there before, from the factory. I have contacted several people locally and they have pretty much the same condition like me...
