    Gunsmithing Out-of-round M700 bolthead...

If a magnum bolt face, use caution as the material is thinner although it can be lightly skimmed. If a smaller boltface you can turn it pretty much as you desire (within reason).

Gunsmithing Expert opinion wanted on New barrel freebore (pic)

While Chad has a good point of letting the barrel tell you if it will shoot or not, that was a poor attempt to get the throat straight. Things happen, it may not be a normal thing for the shop that did the work, but I would say a custom fit barrel should be much better. Factory barrel....not a...

Rifle Scopes Kahles K525i review, a comparison with the Tangent Theta and Nightforce ATACR 7-35

I sent one TT back for the top edge being blurry and blacked out as described earlier. I was told the scope was in spec, but on the far side and they replaced it, new scope is better but still shows up. Was told that it is normal for their scope and is because they use no field limiter. I...

Gunsmithing Right height for RRS one piece scope mount for S&B 5x25x56. Deviant elite and Impact action. What should be the height ?1.26 or 1.5?

If you do not have some kind of barrel shroud around the barrel then 1.2 should be fine.

Rifle Scopes New Meopta Scope - Optika6

I understand the circle on a 1-6, or 2-10, etc. It just doesn’t make sense to me on a 3-18 with tall turrets. I hope you guys do like it, but I will pass. It looks like a great product at the price point!

Rifle Scopes New Meopta Scope - Optika6

We got 8 3-18’s in with the MRAD 1, that is the one with the circle in the middle, yuck. We were told when ordering that the MRAD was what we would be getting (essentially and floating dot with .2 marks and a tree). Now they are saying that reticle is only in the 5-30. Scopes were sent back. The...

    $2000-$2500 Spotting Scope

The Vortex Razor spotter is a lot of scope for the money if you can find a deal, but it is not in the same class as Swarovski, Meopta, or Kowa, that is just the way it is.

    $2000-$2500 Spotting Scope

I have both the Meopta S2 and 2 of the Swarovski STS 80 HD scopes. In my opinion they are all three very good, but I believe the Meopta is better than both Swaros. Most people that look thru the scopes agree with that also. I love Swarovski stuff, but if buying today, I would definitely buy the...
