Gunsmithing Looking for a good smith

Might check with this guy.

Texas is pretty big. Sounds like a good question to me.
I am in south Florida and a "good smith" is far and few between.
I have shipped to "Top"names here. Had the good and seriously bad.
Nice to find a guy local.

Thud, not necessarily the truth. Ill put my work up against anyone. My times are very fast. Not spreading ones self to thin is the key to success. If your work load it to deep you should stop taking on work. Focusing on a few crafts and doing them well is another key to my success anyway.

There is no issue with u. Your reputation precedes you. Your one of the good guys.
Others abuse their standing and drag things out.
Where u been haven’t seen u posting in a while.

Might check with this guy.
I second Stewart Rifles. Matt just built a rifle for me and I couldn't be happier with his work and attention to detail. The only thing better than his rifle, is his attitude. He is very respectful and answered every question I asked while taking the time to explain the "why's" and "how's".

Remember this- A good smith won't get the work done fast. Be prepared to wait awhile.

Respectfully, I disagree. I've carved out a successful business challenging this mindset.

Modern tools. Modern approach. Combined they put minutes back on the clock. Were not perfect and balls do get dropped from time to time, but in the grand scheme, very few can compete with our operational tempo.

Chad you are one of the exceptions, others take note. The world need more of you.

Agree with above. There are a few great gunsmiths using the above approach.

It's not as common as it should be, but you can get some great work done with quick turnaround times if you go to the right gunsmith. LRI is definitely one of them.

hI had Jon build a 338 Lapua for me. Buatiful work and Jon is a good guy he can be a little backed up depending on the time of year.

I recently send an action to Moon at Crescent Customs. He told me that I got lucky and the turn around will be very short, so I'm excited to see what he does.
