Teach me about 22LR fouling? Littlepod is gonna LOL at this follow-up report on my "search for a scope"...

At what size and distance would you consider it to start costing cubic dollars? I think many Cz, Tikka, Bergaras seem to be reliable 1 MOA at 50 yds and 1.75 MOA at 100 yds guns. So for me, anything shooting below .380" at 50yds or 1.00" at 100 yds gets to that money pit pivot point. YMMV...

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

First 60 shots to break in with Aguila Rifle Match and Tac22 (Shoot n See target) at 50 yds. Some sample groups at 50 yds and my first fly! Then shot the Center-X two 5 shot groups under 1/4”, no need to go any further at 50yds. The bonus was that the Eley Target shot very well (after the...

The whole box at 100 yards

ES of 43 with Center X Long Range? Granted it is with 50 shots but color me surprised. Thanks for the valuable info on the arcane rimfire witchery.

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

Purchased a second mag with extension plate for the 12 round stages. Put 5 layers of painters tape on the front face of the magazine and black markered it. Now it fits like a glove, and no matter how I put pressure on the magazine, it cycled the snap caps 100%. A cheap and potentially helpful...

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

Thanks for the recommendations and comments. Great deal of accessible and practical shooting knowledge shared here. Less fuddery & more applied comp info here than other sites. The build parts came in and I finished out the build today. No opportunity to shoot yet, maybe this weekend...

    CZ 457

I like the ergonomics of the pro varmint stock, but upgraded it to the KRG Bravo to move up to NRL22 open along with a Lothar Walther prefit barrel. I liked the adjustability of the KRG, but for competition use, recommend a 3D printed mag block or mag changes will be a curse fest. Modularity is...

Final tuning B14R at long range

How much elevation did you need at 400? What scope did you use? Impressive results!

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

Thank you for sharing your experience. I like the KRG Bravo too and I have one for my Cz 457 and jbell from the 6x5 thread swears by em. But by the time I get the fully adjustable buttstock, Arca, spigot, etc, the price difference shrank. Love the new KRG C-4 but that was out of my budget...

Sell your USO, sell your NF, sell your ZCO… nothing can touch this…

Gonna wait for Gen2. No fatal funnel is a deal breaker. Not about to settle on anything but the best for my Anderson Arms ELR-benchrest-CQB rig.

    That gun'll hunt! Nice shooting.

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

That's a very nice set-up, but I still can't get over the aesthetics of the the fore end overhang (for no good reason). How does your rifle shoot? Any limitations from your rifle on targets out to 200 yds? Thanks in advance, MW

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

Half off cert helped cut the cost for the Arken EP5. With my Cz 457 and 50 MOA rail, it let me dial up 28.4 mils. Last week, was able to see and hit 1/4” KYL at 100 yards, so it should be good for the NRL22 distances. Most PRS22 targets are placed further away but larger targets. I might put...

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

Lots of good info here. I did some more reading and research and each of the chassis/stock discussed have their pluses and minuses. Manners - love the look and feel, but the wait times can be long and less modularity in adding/substracting weights MDT ACC - modular, heavier than some other...

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

Awesome, appreciate the suggestions I wasn't aware of. I most likely will get a barrel upgrade, so aesthetics isn't the biggest factor, ,but functionality is a must. Cheers!

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

Thank you for the response. Heard good stuff about the Bergara stock but the lack of easy weight modularity and lack of easy full ARCA rail addition is a negative for me. Else I would have bought the B14r with the stock instead of the barreled action. Looks like the MPAs have the mag latch...

    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

Taking the leap to the open class by building up a B14R barreled action. I've read that some stock/chassis are finicky with magazines and/or trigger groups. What's a reliable chassis/stock that would allow me to have some adjustability for adding weight for balance with good compatibility with...

    Tract Toric or Athlon Eres

There is a Dark Lord of Optics YT video where he reviewed the Athlon Ares and he felt that it has the pinnacle of Chinese manufactured scopes and compared it very favorably to the Athlon Chronos (which is likely made in the same Light Optical Works factory in Japan as the Tract Toric). Short...

Rifle Scopes Pay it forward - $200 off cert for Vortex LHT 4.5-22x50

Learned a great deal from this site and its members. I have a $200 off of a Vortex LHT 4.5-22x50 scope cert that I won from a local match I’d like to give away. I don’t need anything in return, just request that you pay it forward somehow/someday. I’ve no affiliations with the store or the...
