    If that LTR is over priced, What is the current Remy quality like? There is a Remington 700 SPS Tactical Ghillie Green 20"for sale at Bud's for $760. Or should I keep looking for a used pre-2007 at a sane price?

    If I wanted a Reddit style answer, I'd ask one of the #$% over there. Now, what have you got other than snark? Some cherry-picked 3-shot groups? Now, If you had read the OP, I'm asking about the Tikka here. I'm getting Bergara answers, so I felt had to speak to that suggestion.

    I know you are trying to be helpful, but I really don't want to buy a bunch of parts and then hope I can find a good 'smith in town. . . that can maybe get the rifle assembled sometime before next fall . . . when I want to start enjoying the rifle this spring.

    I think you are the Hides Tikka aficionado! LOL! I've read that Bergera < Tikka elsewhere. I do not see used Tikkas very often at all, and I want to be ready for spring shooting season. Bare actions are pricy. There are other manufacture recievers that are less than the $$$ Tikka action...

    I think I came across your story on this or another site. Did you ever contact the ATF and report your rifle stolen?? I'm less inclined to buy the Bergara than the Tikka. Fewer reports of the Bergara shooting as well as the Tikka. And there are good reports of new manufacture Remys shooting...

    @Supersubes $1250. They probably are placing a premium on the McMillan MC3 stock, muzzle break, and the bore looks bright & clean.
