    I gave up trying to make progressive lenses work. I set the diopter to my uncorrected vision and leave the glasses in the truck. I have gone to grid or tree type reticles so I don’t have to dial.

    I wasn’t trying to imply that at all. Knight’s makes great barrels, but I would expect that their service life is similar to any CHF CL barrel offered by Daniel Defense, FN, BCM, Geissele or any other quality brand.

    NV being used right now is a KN-253. Plans are to go to a PVS-27 or PVS-30. Already talked to NF about a reticle swap. They only do that on a limited number of SFP optics. ZCO 4-20 is very appealing. I’m not too proud to buy used.

    Since no one with real experience has responded, I will jump in with some speculative bullshit: Without knowing exactly which can you have, I’m going to say that shooting 6.5 through a .30 can will not reduce the back pressure enough to make a difference.
