New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I keep showing I have new messages in my inbox everytime I come on the sight. However they are all old messages. I would like to delete them but can't find anyway to do it.....
Sorry to hear about your troubles. When I built my AR10 I just used a factory chambered Shilen barrel with a stock contour and it is a HAMMER!!! I have shot some groups with it that people don't believe were shot with an AR....
Yes I have done it several times. I just finished cleaning a can tonight. I let it soak for around 24 hrs. Then dump it out and flush it out with hot water. I then alternate shaking it out and all kinds of black crap falls out of it. I have a little bore light I can look into it with and it does...
Just buy yourself a rubber plug for the small end and get a jug of CLR (Calcium Lime and Rust remover) from Walmart or your local hardware store and then prop it up and pour the CLR in the other end and let it set for a day then rinse it out with hot water and then blow it out with a compressor...
I am looking at getting a SRT can. Have heard good things about them. My question is they have an 8" and a 9". The 9" is suppose to be quieter. I was wondering if it really is that much quieter to go with the longer can and pay the extra money?? Anyone have any opinions on the SRTs???Thanks guys!!
It sounds like you don't clean very much. If this is the case you might have "Carbon Fouling". You don't loose throat you gain it. I had a 260 with a Melonited barrel and it just did not copper foul. So I didn't clean it for several hundred rounds then when I did I just used a wipe out foam. One...
Thanks!! So I am guessing that it will be at least a half grain.. Could you tell any difference in consistency on your groups?? I am using ELD and getting unexplained fliers and have been lead to believe that it is the bullets rather than the brass. Any thoughts on this???
Are any of you guys using the new Lapua brass in your 6.5 Creedmoors?? If so how is it shooting compared to the Hornady brass?? If you had a pet load how much did you have to change it when using the Lapua brass?? Thanks guys!!!!
It will depend on your barrel or rifle. Some are maxed out at 42grs others can go over 43+. Like was stated above, work up from 41grs and you should find something it likes.....
I got mine put together and took it out and shot it with both Lil Gun and H110. I used 110VMAX for my bullet and was able to get groups under an Inch at 100yds with both powders. I shot it at 200 and 300yds and it shot a 2.2" group at 200 with 4 of them in a 1.5" group. My 300yd group was 2.75"s...
Dustyroads91, I see your question was answered. My son in law pours some in a big zip lock bag and throws the suppressor in it for a day or two and will shake it back and forth every once in awhile. I tried this but it nearly took off the outside paint on the suppressor so I went to the...
