    Hornady Lineup

So I found this summary. It's three years old but it seems to hold up. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/02/06/hornady-grows-the-eld-x-eld-match-while-trimming-the-a-max/ Not the right time to become an A-Max devotee

    Hornady Lineup

Hello there, I've been putting off a bullet shopping chore for too long. I need to get a precision bullet for my .308 rifles. Local shops usually keep Hornady and Lapua in stock. I need the bullet to be cheap, availible and decent. I don't need extreme BC, just decent. I also do not need to try...

    RPR 22mag

I didn't know they made it in 22 mag, and I'm kinda impressed that it shoots well. my 22 wmr is not very exciting in that regard. does ruger have any special secret sauce for the 22 wmr?

    Sako TRG 42 problem/question?

I'm sure the rifle itself - apart from this issue - is beautiful. But for the price, better service should be expected.

    Tikka T3 Thread

Looks very nice! Is that cut on the front of the cheek rest deep enough to let you remove the bolt - even if you raise the cheek rest even higher than on the picture?

    Tikka T3 Thread

So that's a factory .22-250 T3x Varmint, but in a CTR compatible stock? Why did you want to go with the CTR mags? What load are you shooting in it? For what purpose? I'm sure that's a very gentle shooter with that stock and that suppressor...

    Thoughts on rubber bolt knobs?

I have one of these. It's great, but it's not supposed to cost $20. More like $5. It's just a piece of grippy rubber, don't get a brand name bolt knob.

In my next life i’m going to be really rich, really smart, really healthy and really lucky.

Ive been shooting all my life. Just now getting into precision shooting. Got a very nice scope and a Tikka t3x. I'm European, but I've heard the Tikka is even cheaper in the US. The performance is there, in my stock off the shelf rifle. If I want to upgrade, to get even better performance, I...

Rifle Scopes Turret housing pushing forward on mount ring - problem?

While handling my rifle at home the other day, I noticed that the scope is slid all the way forward so that the turret is contacting the front ring of the mount. I have had no accuracy issues at all, and the scope appears to sit tight. It won't budge or rotate. The mount is a Spuhr mount and the...

    Tikka T3 Thread

2 possible reasons why the CTR has a mid length bolt stop: A) The CTR mag well needs this bolt stop to let the bolt come far enough to the rear to be able to pick up a cartridge. Remember that the plastic mags for the regular Tikkas are designed to be extremely size efficient, so that the...

    Tikka T3 Thread

I seriously doubt that the .223 rifles have the same bolt stop as the .30-06, for example. Are you 100% sure?

Rifle Scopes New Meopta Scope - Optika6

Where's the market for these reticles? Do people actually buy caliber specific reticles?

Hunting & Fishing Night Pig rig???

Hahaha oh god I wonder how I even found this. Google search? I was really surprised people weren't recommending the ATN stuff.

Hunting & Fishing Night Pig rig???

I usually only use the light after I'm done shooting, but I've seen people shine them straight in the eyes without the pigs really caring. I think they don't necessarily know what's going on when the light shines at them.

    I need some hunting binos

I've had 7x binos and 8x binos as my main hunting binos, and I'd really not want to go over 8x. The added usability is worth more than some magnification. At least for me - I'm glassing within 1000 yards and mostly within 600 yards. Higher magnification means you almost have to support your arms...

Options for dope management and Kestrel selection

I'm getting a Kestrel. Question is 2700 vs 5700. Might have been unclear on that.

Options for dope management and Kestrel selection

Well I'm kinda torn. I'm not doing the kind of advanced long range shooting that requires me to have to predict trajectories out past 1000 yards with changing atmospheric conditions. Realistically, I'll get my shooting done just fine with some tables and knowledge on how my M_V changes with...

Options for dope management and Kestrel selection

Thank you for sharing that! I'm probably getting a Kestrel either way, but I'm undecided on which one to get. I have a chronograph already, so I can record my muzzle velocity at various temperatures and get a good idea of how my standard load is affected by temperature changes. With the (almost...
