New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I bought an FX impact for me and my son to shoot with and it has been a great investment. I drove home from the dealer with a slight nauseus feeling in my gut, for spending that amount of money on an air rifle. But since then, we have shot about 2000 pellets over the last two years, the rifle is...
On a highly personal note, I feel that the TRG ergos are a whole lot better than what AI offers. But I can work with either. Both rifles are as accurate and reliable as a top shelf factory rifle can get, that is for sure.
Been using different KRG chassis (3 Whiskey3 and a Bravo)and various components for the last 5 years. No complaints at all. Top products, top class service all the way.
Since my regular glass-store is selling the Delta Stryker HD at a pretty good dicount I could not refuse. Its the older generation with non locking turrets and the DLR-1 reticle, and I figured it would suit me just fine.
Right as it is, it is bolted to my FX Impact PCP rifle, with a Spuhr ISMS...
The one I am most curious to try out is the 6.5x284 Norma or the 7mm Remington Magnum.
But alas, I am happy with my three oh hate, and 300 win mag, they do all I can think of, and I have plenty of bullets, brass and powder stocked for them.
A Razor G2 would not be out of place on that beast.
Sooner or later you will spring for a better scope anyways, so why not get a good one from the get go. It seems like the funds are available?
I dabbled with a tripod and hog-saddle a few years back, it was not as easy as I thought it would be, but with practise I could shoot both for hits and for groups. I have used both my 6,5x47L and my .300 WM in the tripod with similar results.
I sold the setup last year as I dont really shoot...
If it was mine and I had some cash to burn, I would pick a MInox 3-15x50 with the MR2 or MR5 reticle.
But there are a lot of other great options too.
Awesome looking rifle by the way.
It is kept on a steady diet of JSB Exact kings 25,39 grain. At max setting the rifle shoots them at 905 fps, at low setting its down to 770 fps, which is great for close range pest control, and the air lasts forever.
I have had both the Vortex Razor G2 and a Schmidt PM2 5-25x56. Never looked through a Nightforce 7-35x56.
I can tell you that the Vortex is a lot of bang for the buck, like many others have said. Glass is good, not great, it has some CA and is at its best between 15-22x if you ask me. Turrets...
Thanks!
It started its life as a standard Remington 700 Police. If first got a Grayboe stock which I bedded with epoxy and built a carbon fiber cheekriser for. Then it was blueprinted, rebarreled and the trigger was changed along with the MARS rail. It was done from one of the few precision gun...
I went back to the .308 this year.
Its good to be able to get components like brass for next to nothing. I am seldom able to shoot further than 600 meters anyways, so the .308 makes a lot of sense for me.
My FX-Impact got some new glass. So my son and I went to the range to zero it.
Its a FX Impact PCP rifle in .25 caliber.
Delta Stryker HD 4.5-30x56 scope in a Spuhr ISMS mount. Scope caps is on the way in the mail.
Bipod is a Accu-Tac knock off, it will be replaced with an ATLAS CAL soon.
It...
