    Condensation

Im well versed in thermodynamics (professional mechanical engineer) and I’m telling you it can happen. Condensation on a cold surface in a warm humid environment is obviously common and what everyone knows. Most people have not directly experienced what I’m talking about. The conditions for it...

    Condensation

The phenomenon is a warm/hot surface getting condensation on it in cold + damp weather. This happens QUICK! Shooting the gun (heating it up) will keep the issue going, the suppressor gets really warm and has lots of surface area, so lots of condensation!

    Condensation

This happened to me on an elk hunt with a muzzle loader. Had it in the wall tent with me at lunch (huddled near the stove), went out in 35F sleeting weather for an evening hunt. Had an awesome 6x6 bull at 20 yards and got the dreaded “click”. Game over. When I hooked up with my buddy, he tried...

    Large Frame Build Guide.

I strongly recommend full sets of upper/lower/handguard from one manufacturer like the Seekins SP-10 or Aero M5 Enhanced sets. A few other “musts” if doing 6.5 CM…. High pressure bolt Full mass bolt carrier H2 (good) or H3 (better) buffer +2” rifle length gas system if 22” barrel or longer...

    Powder IN-STOCK thread

I bought about 10 lbs of powder from Hodgdon yesterday on that deal! The discount showed up in the cart.

    Proof Carbon

I have a 24” 6.5CM that’s a laser, and a 16” 223 Wylde that still needs some break in. Time will tell on the little one.

Clone the Clone: IMI 77gr Razor Core

TAC = Great velocity, but with sketchiness and sometimes a magically accurate load. One of my all time best loads is a 55 ZMax/VMax and 25 gr of TAC at 2.240” COL (single hole groups). I’ve also had TAC give me like +5” groups with match bullets in combos it hated… I was like WTF? Stick powders...

.264" bullet suggestions for 6.5 CM?

Been doing testing on my AR with a 24" Proof CF 6.5CM and it seems really easy to develop loads for. So far, I've tried Hornady 140 & 147 ELDM, 130 Berger OTM, 136 Scenar-L and it loved them all. I've just started working on 142 SMK and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on other...

Best value for each category of reloading tool?

The 419 powder funnel is gucci AF, but so worth it!

Best value for each category of reloading tool?

You can trust decent digital scales that don't cost an arm and a leg. If someone is worried about it, they can use their check weights more frequently... that takes like 2 seconds. How many digital scales have you owned that were unreliable?

Best value for each category of reloading tool?

I think my old Gempro 250 was about $100. I used it for years before I upgraded to the FX120. Was $100 the OP’s budget?

Best value for each category of reloading tool?

Used them in college and used one at a buddy’s house right when I got into reloading. If a quality digital is available and within the same general budget, it’s a mistake to suggest a beginner get a beam scale.

Best value for each category of reloading tool?

LOL at using a beam scale. Screw that. You guys suggesting that shit have too much free time on your hands. OP will use that thing once and after he loads 50 rounds with it, he will start shopping for digital scales. OP should get a quality digital like a Gempro or something unless he wants to...

Best value for each category of reloading tool?

I thought Giraud wouldn't make a 6.5 CM Tri-Way.... Skip the Hornady One shot lube... it's not worth the headache. Just get some Imperial sizing wax and just wipe it off when you are done. If you use the homebrew lanolin deal, that needs a full pass through the tumbler to get that stuff off...

Solid trigger for all round use

I just got a TT Diamond and it’s unbelievable. I’m probably going to grab a 3.5# duty trigger to see how it stacks up against my L & G triggers. Very impressed with the TT quality

    Wet Sloshing Brass

Hey man... don't go oversimplifying my overly complicated brass washing process!!! I won't stand for it!

    NightForce NX8 Elevation Issues… Frustrated!!

I've got 3 NX8 scopes (love them). They are all MIL based, and I typically set the zero stop at 5 or 6 clicks past the true zero. (1.5-2.0 MOA) The only reason I do that much is because I do more load development than most sane people would bother with and some bullets POI is higher than others...

Good to know guys! Thank you.

    6.5CM.... 140 vs. 147 ELDM....

Been working on load development and have used these two bullets in some of my loads thus far. Very pleased with both in my rifle, but if deciding between the two, which would you choose based on the following data, assuming the same 100 yard accuracy (haven't shot at longer ranges yet): 140...
