New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I have owned a few of the 10x bushnell and never was really satisfied with them. I have a SWFA 6x on my savage tactical trainer and could not be happier.
I just picked up a konus 80 mm this week and i used it to find hits on steel at 450 yards and it worked pretty good for what i paid.
I have a bushnell elite doubler that fits the knous eyepiece perfectly and will give you a little extra zoom because the konus does not go to 60 x like it says.
If any of you have used a leupold boresighter you know it has a MOA scale built in to check scope tracking and it works just fine with MOA adjustments. My question is how do i check a scope with MIL turrets using a MOA scale or can it be done? How much would 12 MOA or MILS (1 turret rev) read on...
Im having trouble getting used to the 20" barrel on my AAC rifle so i figured i would try a brake on it to try to tame the recoil and muzzle jump a bit.Any of you guys use this brake ? Is it going to be so loud its miserable to shoot?
I have one rem 700 that likes 43 varget the other likes 45 grains. I would work up from 42 to 46 grains in .5 grain increments and see what works . A chrony helps fill in the blanks too.
Mine has the factory remington hard butpad on it and i have a limbsaver that looks like a perfect fit. Will i ruin my stock if i remove the factory pad,i understand they are glued on.
Is there anything solid in the stock for the screws to bite into so they wont pull out?
I have a long range 26" .308 with a 6-20x50 scope already set up so the 20" AAC 308 will be for shooting 600 yards + /- .
I have an extra 3-10x40 leupold mildot and a SWFA 6x mildot, both have nice glass but which one would be better suited for this rifle?
Re: Leupold VX-3L
I have the 6-20x56 varmint hunter and it has some really nice glass, only thing im not crazy about is the 1/10 clicks but the 4-14 model would have 1/4" anyway i would imagine.I have it mounted in TPS low rings/20MOA base and it lines up great with the eye.
Re: Vortex optics
I had a 4-16 and the clarity was less i could tolerate so i sold it at a loss, they have alot of good features on the PST but the glass is lacking for me.
Re: Help with 20 MOA base setup
I have used the scope on a .243 rifle a couple weeks ago with no issues.
I had a leupold 2-10x40 on this rifle not long ago with no issues ,i really dont know why i lost all the "up" on the scope with this setup
I have a Howa 1500 LA , 20 MOA steel bases ,burris 30mm rings and a 16X super sniper mounted up on top.
I used the thick base at the rear-short one up front mounted up my scope and used most of my adjustment to get a 200 yard zero. What have i done wrong with my setup? You can look at my turret...
I am trying to get my howa 30-06 with a wood stock set up for some long range shooting ,i installed some 20 MOA bases and tactical scope+ rings so far.
This rifle has always shot under an inch at 100yds but i have never used a torque wrench on the screws ,just hand tight on them. Whats a good...
It's been 20+ years since i took the test in high school so i dont remember how to read the results so i need a little help.
My 16 y/o son took the test last week and is interested in joining but im not sure i want him to at this time .Can some one look at the test results and tell me what kind...
Re: Chargemaster = Expensive thrower
I have the same scales as you ,rcbs 502 which has always worked well and the chargemaster,so far no complaints with mine.If it dont work right i would send it back though.
