Re: Options for a high quality, fast 3 way trimmer
I trimmed a bunch of .223 last night with a lee zip trim using a battery drill with the cutter clamped to my bench, only takes a few seconds to trim a piece.
Re: shoulder bumping with redding dies or modified lee
I use a RCBS precision mic to set my headspace.I just drop in a fired piece of brass take a measurement and slowly adjust the die down until i bump the shoulder back about .003

Re: Field Test: Weaver 3-15 vs. Vortex PST 4-16 & 6-24
Wish i had found this info before i ordered a 4-16 pst, very disappointed in the glass clarity. Im back in the scope market but not brave enough to buy a vortex pst 6-24,too much to spend for less than stellar glass.
I put some rounds together this morning to try my first ladder test.It was about 40 degrees out, wind was calm.I set up my target up at 250 to 300 yards out.I started with some hornady 168 bullets loaded from 44 to 46 grains in .2 increments with varget.I loaded the sierra 175's with 43 to 45...

Re: SFP or FFP ?
If youre ranging objects at long range the scope would be at max power anyway and thats where the reticle is calibrated at on my vortex pst its SFP.
Re: help with vortex viper
On the viper 6-20 i had the mag needed to be backed down for a clear view,it never was perfectly clear at 20x,but other than that it was a great scope.
Re: Need scope, have $800 limit
I bought a viper PST 4-16x50 a couple weeks ago and i like everything about it but the glass leaves a little to be desired when compared to my leupold VX-L 6-20x56,but the leupold did cost more.
Re: Vortex Viper 6.5-X50 PA
I have one in 6-20X40mm.Glass is about equal to leupold VX II best i can tell.Mine tracks well and returns to zero ,all the adjustments work nice and smooth.I think it's a really good scope for the money.I have been shooting out to 600 with it so far .I would like...
Any body know where i can get one of these? I think all i need is a washer to put under the knob . I have about 2 revs below my zero position and i seem to miss it every time i dial for range and go back to zero
Re: Help with rem 700 sps .308/168 smk+varget
Looks like 44 /varget is pretty accurate.I loaded them mag length at 2.845.anybody know what kind of velocity im getting with a 26" barrel?
I need my mag box a few thousands longer to seat my .308 bullets out farther, will it destroy my mag box if i try to lengthen it a little or should it be left alone? I think mine measured 2.845 and i would like it to be around 2.9
Re: Bushnell Elite or Elite 4200
The bushnells i have owned had little eye relief, they were short timers for me.I had a 4200 1-5 power and the glass on it was only useable in the center, the outer edges were not clear at all.I had a few other bushnells that had impressions in the tube from the...
