New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Yes, on the VooDoo-M you can adjust the margins. They come pre-adjusted from the factory and I found it pretty spot on. I might have moved it a single pixel after doing my own sight in, but it was pretty much dead on from the factory.
Their instructions says you can adjust the diopter to...
Like with the tree reticle on the shorty, it is really great they are listening to customers and I will definitely be getting at least one. I too have been looking for a better match for my SR25 as I found the S&B US 3-20 not all that short, but I really wanted to retain the low end. This new...
Update #1 - Over the summer my buddies and I got to a new level for long range shooting at night. Previously the furthest we have gotten hits was at 1,000 yards and that was using a PVS-27 clip on. Every time we tried to push it further we had trouble seeing our misses and it wasn't possible...
First off I will note that the spotter 60 is not ideal for a clip on as I have found 20x mag to be too much for even the best white tube devices. I have a Spotter 45 and most of the time even 15x is too much, especially for scanning.
The PVS-24 has the smallest objective lens, and its...
For competition the Kahles or Swarovski options in either 1-6x or 1-8x are hard to beat. Amazing glass, big eye boxes, and lowest weight. The vortex 1-6x has the biggest eyebox bar none, but glass is meh and even the e model is heavy.
Vortex 1-10x is a great optic, but eyebox is so tight at...
For gas guns without a monolithic rail, having a cantilever scope mount is pretty much a requirement. I had the same decision (same rifle) and went with the 3-20 US because I wanted the low end mag. With the ZCO you are limited to only a couple options for 36mm tubes and with the 5-20 US...
Do you run the QD mount on the Raptar? Looks like @Bravo6niner direct mounts theirs.
With the med height rail and the Raptar QD, the laser clears a PVS27. Anyone have a height comparison of that with the xELR?
I have pretty much every top tier LPVO except the ATACR. I have done side by side testing with them and included my buddies ATACR so I am very familiar with it. When I get around to it I’ll post me summary, but the short version is the Razor 1-6x has the best eyebox bar none. Of the 1-8x the...
That is my set-up, but conqueror pretty much called it correctly. Here is a closeup and all the parts can be found on Amazon. I prefer to mount everything to the spotter so I don’t have to worry about crashing into a pole or repositioning the tripod legs when I pan around. You do have to pay...
The K16i is unfortunately one of the dimmest LPVO out there. You basically can’t see it on bright days with a bright background and this is my only gripe with this optic. Luckily the SFP reticle is so good illumination isn’t a must.
Kestrel in a weather vane is the new hotness. Links to a RAPTAR, but they need to be close. @Conqueror do you have a similar experience with connection range?
Nice, I was just going to start looking for some good 3.0V RCR123. Is their peak discharge current the same as a CR123? Might not be an issue in thermals, but could be on flashlights.
I don’t know about rechargeables, but I would doubt it. The CR123 are in parallel for capacity, not higher voltage. It does come with a USB cable which can power it off of a power brick.
What spotting scope? Badger slick for Leupold and Hensoldt or arc light for the bushnell. If you have something else, the RRS kit is pretty universal and has other uses.
