Guys,
Which version of CLR is the one recommended for cleaning suppressors?
I didn't realize there were two different products with essentially the same name until I went to pick up a jug.
Don't want to screw up by using the wrong one.
I have an OSS HX556 QD on my Tavor x95 and absolutely love it. On that particular gun it makes it ridiculously quiet. I had my doubts when purchasing but IWI insisted I’d be very happy. They didn’t lie.
I actually ended up buying more OSS cans due to the experience. OSS is legit and makes...
My father was an retired Army sniper and always collected military rifles/optics. I kindof do the same thing - mainly for the historical significance. I already have an AR with a red dot and another with an LPVO. For this one I thought an ACOG would be a good fit. Plus I tend to be hard on...
Guys,
I'm looking to get an ACOG for my carbine. I've narrow it down to two options. However, I can't figure out what the difference is between these two sku's (TA31RCO-M4CP vs TA31RCO-M150). What's the difference? The specs seem to read identical. What am I missing?
I have multiple Sandman S and a Nomad. Between the two it's very hard to hear the difference. I switch between both on my AK as well as my Tavor. They're both pretty comparable but at least on my guns I find the Sandman to have less blowback - especially on the Tavor.
Sandman S is a fantastic choice... I actually own three so I’m a little biased. I also have a Nomad. For an SBR I’d hands down pick the Sandman.
The Sandman is Dead Air’s version of a mil-spec durability can. The Nomad is more of a consumer level product.
It can’t actually be removed per say... the mount can be disassembled for spring replacement or cleaning but the threads are a proprietary non-standard pattern. That’s one of the biggest advantages on the Nomad... ie choose your own Mount setup.
The sandman doesn’t have that Feature.
The...
Sandman’s KeyMO Mount is permanently attached. Only option is to swap out the Cherry Bomb. I’m not aware of ANY other way to make this configuration work. A machinist may be able to do major surgery on the Sandman. It at that point you’re totally on your own without any warranty.
Weak recoil or light springs can cause frame damage and excessive wear. They are pretty much a ‘last’ option if you can’t find an ammo configuration that works. For example, on a Glock 22 or 23 (really any of the .40 variants) weaker or worn recoil springs will break the frame right at the...
lol.... OMG... Truer words were never spoken!
I've done lots of armorers service for local LEO training. If I were being held hostage and any of them had to take a head shot to save me my money would be on the bad guy not killing me and getting struck by 'friendly' fire. Some of these folks...
Have you chronographed what you're making?
I originally tried HUSH ammo with mine since it seems to be highly recommended and it was a jam-fest. It's velocity was right around 900fps and didn't work correctly at all for me.
It should... Stovepipes are typically caused when a spent casing is not ejected far enough - or fast enough - to clear the ejection port. That energy comes from the powder charge. Question... Have you tried any commercial 147g ammo? That would at least give you a benchmark to work toward...
Make sure the piston is clean, greased and is moving freely. I had that issue with my Octane on a G21. Turns out it just wasn’t lubricated enough. Liberally applied TW25 And that solved the issue. I have discovered since that the pistons have to be meticulously clean or they can hangup and...
The discussion I was referring to was internal Glock communications. However, you’re definitely good to go.
Out of the box that gun favors 40g and heavier projectiles that are loaded hotter. CCI and Federal work best. They participated in the development and pre-release testing so their...
Glock 44 barrel actually doesn’t tip like a normal Glock. It’s just designed to look like it does for design consistency. A normal 22 suppressor will work fine.
Im a Glock armorer and this was discussed at length.
One piece of advice is the 44 likes ammo on the hotter end of the spectrum...
