    Lookin for a 7.62x39 Bolt Gun - Options (?)

Howa barreled action= 459 KRG Bravo chassis = 399 Oryx MTD Chassis = 430 Bundled Howa in Oryx MTD = 836 (@ Buds) Kinda even money. Anything spectacularly better about the KRG chassis than the one that comes on the Howa? Again, not really my field of expertise. I'm more of a milsurp collector.

    Lookin for a 7.62x39 Bolt Gun - Options (?)

I've made this post on several of my favorite forums. Tons of great feedback and info (thanks all). I'm leaning towards a Howa or a Ruger I think (very little commentary on the new CZs). Both probably going into a match type or chosen stock whether wood, laminate or poly. Howa has a broad...

    Lookin for a 7.62x39 Bolt Gun - Options (?)

They list 2moa for the Trail and 1moa on all others. Not sure why. Shorter (lesser) barrel? Tacticool stock?

    Lookin for a 7.62x39 Bolt Gun - Options (?)

Okay, not a precision caliber BUT I’ve really been digging my PUSnipers and RPR in .308 this last year. Seems my semi autos rarely make it to the range anymore. I do have some x39 projects in the works but thinking about all the corrosive x39 I have squirreled away and I just never use it...

Rebarrelling an Ex PU Sniper (?)

I guess I'd say a) I already altered it from a legitimate "collectors" status by resnipering it (according to purists) b) I have three other "legit" PUSnipers c) I suppose you could accuse me of a "bubba" job here but I guess I'm just curious to see what the platform can do "as new" wi barrel...

Rebarrelling an Ex PU Sniper (?)

Just wondering who / where one would go about considering such a task. Is this ever done? Or a Fool's errand? The rifle in question was kind of a misappropriation of efforts, funds and resources from the beginning. It was an ex-sniper that I resnipered many many years ago in my early collecting...

Tabuk Sniper Build Underway - Need to Settle on a Scope

For anyone interested I did go ahead and choose the POSP 4x24 T Sniper Rifle Scope for SVD Side Rail. 400m. Two Rivers said to order the version with SVD rail. Now the long wait begins.

Tabuk Sniper Build Underway - Need to Settle on a Scope

I’ve believe the BelOMO POSP versions are going to be my best bet from multiple sources and wonder what you would suggest. I don’t really care about the 400 or 1,000m range finder tool nor do I care about illumination . Rather, more concerned with: the Simonov version 100, 200, 400 BDC chevrons...

Tabuk Sniper Build Underway - Need to Settle on a Scope

I have a spare ONM76B scope and there’s a real outside chance I may have a line on a x39 elevation cam/drum for it but I’m not holding my breath. I understand all variety of optics may have landed on these rifles in Iraq but I think they typically carried ZRAKs (ONM99 – unobtanium) or PSOs...

    RPR Basic Upgrade Ideas (?)

I did order a Magpul PRS for my wife (to give me for Christmas - LOL). I forgot where but I think I read I'm going to have to get a buffer tube and spring for it ? True? Which to get. Doesn't mention on the Magpul site.

    Yugo M48 Trigger Improvements

I have a Yugo M48 that I cloned into a Yugo civil war era “sniper” wi ONM76B scope . The thing is a "tack driver". Even wi 50’s era Yugo 8mm I can usually hit a 12” plate at 400 yds. Very pleased with results. I could never achieve shots like this with old eyes through irons. The trigger...

    RPR Basic Upgrade Ideas (?)

Since my OP I was out to the range last weekend and I have decided to order a Precision Rifle Stock from Magpul. The stock stock is just not for me. Kludgy and not getting LOP I think I need. I like the trigger but I also prefer a 2-stage experience so I also ordered a Timney trigger - just...

    International Harvester M1 Garand

I've got an HRA Letterkenney 1965 rearsenal with 1952 barrel. The entirety of the rifle is that beautiful silvery parkerizing and has virtually no wear marks from firing/cycling on the bolt lugs nor anywhere. Lucked out with some nice “flame” in the stock. There's no question yours is a great...

    RPR Basic Upgrade Ideas (?)

Yea just saw that RPR sticky. Phew ! 6k posts on 112 pages. Guess I've got a lot of bed time phone-reading to do. I've wanted to invest in a suppressor for a while now. F'n crazy money (what the !!!). I figured they were 200-300 bucks. Plus the cost of adapter muzzle devices you gotta get for...

    RPR Basic Upgrade Ideas (?)

Forgot I was a member here and have little experience in "Precision Rifle" world. Definitely a noob. I’m mainly a milsurp collector/shooter. Love DMRs and scope what I can for my old eyes. A couple years ago my wife got me a Ruger Precision Rifle in .308. Finally spent some time with it...
