    6.5 Creedmoor

Well that’s a new pill, but you might look at the Berger manual’s data for their 135 as a starting point if Hornady doesn’t show anything.

    RL-23

    According to 4DOF, temp sensitivity of RL23 is about 0.21 fps/degree. For comparison, H4350 is 0.73fps/degree and RL16 is 0.11 fps/degree.

    Aussie Hobo with a shotgun

I think when folks tell us how they plan to reduce gun violence someone should ask them how they plan to reduce violence, because that is the real issue. If they took every firearm away, folks motivated to do mass killings would find another easy way to do that. Just look at what goes on in the...

    Rifle Scopes Revic scope

I have the moa version (couldn’t wait for mil to come out). I have been very happy with the scope. It tracks well with 4DOF and has me on steel to 900 yards... haven’t shot farther yet. The updated firmware and app are great. The cant indicator is improved, you can calibrate the turret and...

    Kestrel 5700 w/ Hornady 4DOF

Does the Kestrel 4DOF solver include a means of turret calibration?

    Hornady 4DOF App

FEATURE REQUEST I would like to see the 4DOF app include the capability to adjust for turret click values. E.g a 2% error in indicated vs. actual adjustment. Hope that’s clear. It would be good to see that in the 4DOF kestrel too.

    Hey There Vegans!

I knew this liberal once. He wanted to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving, but he couldn’t decide which end to light and which end to stick in his mouth.

    Measuring Powder

If you enjoy the time spent and you are getting the results you want, what the heck? Full disclosure, I have a similar regimen, so it would be hard for me to criticize.

    Forster Press at Brownells

For anyone looking, I just found the Forster coax press in stock at Brownells. Also, Midway has 10% off on some optics, just ordered the Vortex Fury gen 2.... so many goodies, alas, so little $$$.

Modified Ladder / OCW test 308 Win

I have learned a lot from this thread. Thanks for the effort to share the info. I will be working up a load for a 6mm CM next month and plan to use this method... maybe with 3 shot groups. It will be interesting.

Range Report RL 16 for 6.5 Creedmore

There is another recent thread about this you may want to look at. I use Lapua brass, CCI 450 primers, RL 16 and Berger 130 hybrids. In one rifle my best load was at 41.4 grains (2750 fps) and in another it was 41.8 grains (2920 fps). Hope this helps.

    6.5 Creedmoor

When working up my load I started with 39 and went up to 42.5 in .5 increments, then refined to .2 increments to end up at 41.8. So I think your plan is a good one. Good luck.

    6.5CM w/ 130gr ELD-M & RL16?

I use Lapua brass, CCI 450 primers, RL16 and 130gr Berger hybrids. 41.4 grains gives me 2750 fps from a 22 inch Bergara hunting rifle. 41.8 grains gives me 2920 fps from a 26 inch MPA Spencer barrel. Sorry I don’t have data for your specific projectile.

    Long range target camera systems

Well this is a reply long after the original post, but maybe it will help someone. I took the Caldwell out shooting yesterday. The camera worked very well. I could transmit directly to the iPad out to 800 yards. Past that I had to use the receiver. At 1000 yards there were no problems and very...

    Berger 6.5 CM ammo powder

I tried out the Berger 6.5 ammo with 130 gr hybrids this past weekend. Usually I handload this projectile in Lapua brass with RL16 and get 2920 fps. Since Berger indicates 2921 fps from the same length barrel I’m using, thought I would give theirs a try to see how it compared (and save the Lapua...

    Area 419 Hellfire question

I have one on an MPA 6.5 CM. Easy to install and hasn’t come loose, does get tough to remove though. Good luck!

    Trigger Tech ?

I have TT triggers on a Bergara hunting rifle and on an MPA Curtis Axiom rifle. I have been very happy with both. Easy to install and adjust.

    6.5 CM Load/Seating Data

Ah, so someone WAS paying attention, but it wasn’t me. I wrote 10 but meant to write 5 thou. Didn’t pull any shots.

    6.5 CM Load/Seating Data

Attached is the data collected today at the range. Only the 100 yard range was open. This is for 41.8 grains of RL16 pushing 130 grain Berger hybrids from Lapua brass, CCI 450 primers, MPA (Spencer) 26 inch barrel. Advice and comments welcome. I think I like the seating at 10 thou off the lands...

    Concentricity Observations

There certainly remains a lot to study. FWIW I also have a Hornady concentricity gauge (which supprts the cartridge at the bullet and case base) and compared a few random cartridges at the bearing surface of the bullet. The readings were as nearly identical to those obtained with the 21st...
