Re: Looking for a specific set of attributes.
The only cans I can think of that would allow the use of a muzzle device is either Elite Iron or Ops Inc cans. They mount over a proprietary muzzle device both of which have to have the barrel contoured to allow said device but they would work...
Re: Picatinny mini riser
Don't go to brownells for stuff like that. Go to MSC industries. the bar stock will be actual price not inflated by the gunsmithing business and it will be exactly the type and shape you need.

Re: Picatinny mini riser
If a gunsmith try's to charge you that much for a base they are smoking crack. Like above find a machine shop and explain what you need. A good machinist can make what you need from bar stock in about 3.5 hours work if he has another rail to take measurements off of...
I have an old remington 513T US gov marked that I love shooting but lately have been itching to find out what it can do out past 200 yards. I wanted to get a scope for it and happened to see the Hi-Lux Malcolm 8X USMC Sniper Scope that the Creedmoor store has in stock.
The 513T is set up...

Re: Tactical solutions
One thing that I really do like a bunch is how extremely light the Tacsol upper is on the ruger. I just bought a new trigger group to put on my aluminum upper so that it would loose a few ounces. Cant wait to see how that trigger is though.
Re: 6.5 grendel
So there isn't a powder listed that can make hornady's listed velocity on their ammo using anything listed in quickload. Little bit of a bummer. I did do some checking on numbers listed on the linked page at the top here and my numbers are close enough matches to not be...
Re: All I can say is UGH
Just remember that people like Mike Bryant started as the "local hack" at some point. I help out at a local shop whenever home as the smith is a good friend and it gives me access to the machinery. I would go nuts without the ability to do my own gun work. We have...
Re: 6.5 grendel
I picked up one of those AR stoner barrels from midwayusa way back when they had them on sale as I was kind of broke at the time. It started as a 24 inch barrel but honestly didn't shoot to great so I figured I wouldn't loose anything cutting it back to 21.5 and putting a...
Re: Small hole blown in case - LMT MWS
biggest issue I can see is flame cutting in your chamber. sort of like when a stinger sparks on the table while your welding and leaves a funny mark.
Re: Walmart lowered the price of Federal 55gr .223
I always check every wallmart I go in when traveling for their 55grn 223 ammo. I like being able to pick up the 20 round boxes for 4.50-6.00 depending on were I am.
Re: Tactical solutions
I have a Tac Sol barrel on my MKII and if I was to do it again I would have just bought a 22lr barrel blank and had it threaded and installed on the receiver. It's accurate and functional but I shoot tons of 22lr ammo when I am home and the aluminum just hasn't been...
Re: Miltitary stock adjustable for cast and cant ?
There are AMU rifles with stocks like that but I have never seen anything like that over here. Except of course the adjustments on MK13's and XM2010's.
Re: What scopes fit my requirments
I will look into the SWFA scopes as i have liked the prices people mentioned on here. Another thing I forgot to mention is being able to adjust parallax is a must and being able to adjust it down to 15 yards, do to that being the indoor range near my house...
I need a scope for a ultra light weight build I am doing on a 10/22. I need good tracking as I shoot out to 250 yards and my budget limits me to 500$ unless of course a slight uplift would get me something better. magnification needed is no more than 10x and honestly I don't even need that...
Re: Ruger 10/22 barrel question
I would go lilja hands down as you'll never wear it out and you'll always wonder what could have been. But saying that I went with a carbon barrel from VQ as I was going for lite as possible on my last build. I do have a lilja for my Kimber 82G though and...
