Which brand of sizing die pushes the shoulder back the most

Thanks. FWIW, in 223 Whidden pushes it back even more.

Which brand of sizing die pushes the shoulder back the most

Great discussion on shellholders, but it is on a progressive, so I don't have that option. I was trying to size fired 556 brass to fit a Compass Lake Barrel, and I couldn't do it with my progressive set up. I figured it might be the plate, so I tried on my Zero as well, with the same dies...

Which brand of sizing die pushes the shoulder back the most

No, they go the opposite direction. I am not looking for a different shellholder, though.

Which brand of sizing die pushes the shoulder back the most

I'm good on body, I just have a rifle that needs the shoulder pushed back a little further than my current die will do. I know I can have the bottom of the die faced, but I'd rather just buy something.

Which brand of sizing die pushes the shoulder back the most

Assuming you screw the die all the way to the shellplate, which brand, or sub brand, is going to give you the most shoulder bump? Thanks in advance.

    Gyms Are Loud You say?

It can. We used it a different way. For dynamic contrast to isometrics, for building speed off the floor.

    Gyms Are Loud You say?

https://www.mbpowercenter.com/product/contrast-platform/ It's like the opposite of this. I've used these before, and the contrast is extreme, and quite helpful. If it went the other way, and I wasn't expecting it, I don't know what would happen to my poor old back. Just thinking of that...

    RL 16 assistance

RL16 is so temperature insensitive there should be no issue. I love the stuff. Bought 64 lbs at one point a few years ago and still have half of that left.

    Gyms Are Loud You say?

I've lifted forever, and have the back issues to prove it. A couple years ago I moved from deadlifting to good mornings for that pattern because my body prefers it, and now I am finally able again to do both. Still, I am out of commission at least a few weeks a year. If some jackwad kicked my...

Red dot or win 231 .45acp loads with LRN 255gn bullets.

It's a better match for that round. I think there is a pretty significant belief that, pace JMB, 185-200 class bullets perform best in 45 ACP, both for accuracy and for terminal performance.

Red dot or win 231 .45acp loads with LRN 255gn bullets.

I load tons of 45, but never anything other than 200 swc.

    Lyman Pro Dies/Redding Pro Series

OK, now I have processed 35k pieces of brass with the Lyman dies and probably loaded 12k. I've also compared them with the Redding, including some of the new nxGen Redding dies. Here is, die by die, what I am seeing: 1- Sizing die: Both the Lyman Pro and Redding nxgen sizing dies have...

    Recession - 2022 / 2023 / 2024

That's funny, we've done it at least 7 or 8 times in my career, and that only goes back to '95. It's really a measure of risk appetite and future assumptions about rates. IIRC, 2019 was the last inversion. It's a better predictor than the stock market is, but it isn't perfect because it...

    45-70 help

Nothing wrong with it. I shoot up to these: https://www.montanabulletworks.com/product/45-noe-562gr-hp/ out of mine. But I would make sure it wasn't keyholing before a stuck a can on it. Starline is great brass, it will leave you in a good spot to reload.

    45-70 help

The great thing about 45-70 is there is a lot you can do with it, which is kind of the crappy thing when you are just getting started! The basic bullet is a 405 hard cast, gas check, and using between 30-35 grains of 5744 (or any other number of really good black powder substitute loads.) The...
