Rifle Scopes Pics Please G3 Illuminated

Could somebody please post a through-scope pic of the Bushnell G3 illuminated reticle at 3 power and 12 power? I’m thinking about picking up one of the LRTSi scopes from Doug at Cameraland for a hunting rifle. I’m just not sure how useable the reticle will be on low power, for low light...

Rifle Scopes New Vortex Scope 7/18...

This is clearly just a red herring to throw off those of us who know that it is, in fact, a new 20ish oz 3-18 AMG with illumination.

    Gunsmithing Which reamer to buy?

He’s a retired machinist and competitive shooter that mostly does work for his friends and their small network of competitive shooters. He does work mostly for high power nra stuff, some benchrest and hunting rifles. He’s definitely old school but I have confidence in him due to the...

    Gunsmithing Which reamer to buy?

I reload for all of my 6.5 shooting but I could see how it would be beneficial to be able to shoot factory ammo. Although I don’t think any of the alternate specs shared thus far would preclude me from shooting factory ammo at </= mag length. I am newer to this stuff so if there is something I’m...

    Suppressors Second 338 suppressor recommendations

I love my Titan QD but the mounts are a bitch. $200 a pop for a basic break mount is ridiculous so make sure that you factor that into the equation if you plan on swapping between rifles. If I did it all over again I would direct thread. I don’t have any experience with the TBAC .338 cans but if...

    Gunsmithing Which reamer to buy?

I am having my ‘smith chamber a barrel for me in 6.5 Creedmoor for hunting. I plan on shooting Barnes 127 LRX in Lapua/Alpha/Peterson brass loaded to mag length or less for this particular barrel. I would like to be able to use the reamer to chamber match barrels as well (now currently shooting...

Hunting & Fishing DIY West Texas Aoudad success with Desert Tech

Wow, sounds like an awesome hunt! How tough was the pack-out? How much do you think the meat from one of those weighed? I think I might have to add an aoudad hunt to the to do list!

Hunting & Fishing DIY West Texas Aoudad success with Desert Tech

Great work! I’ve never spent any time in West Texas. How did you guys hunt them? I’m guessing a lot of driving and spotting from the truck and then closing the distance on foot. Great looking rams!

I have one in 6.5 Creedmoor and it’s great. I would definitely recommend it.

Gunsmithing TL3 prefit to ARC shouldered

Okay, thanks @jd65 . Based on your experience, would it be an easier/cheaper job for a smith to make a TL3 or Origin shouldered barrel into a shouldered ARC barrel or should I just start with a blank? I know each smith varies on pricing but asking in general so I have a frame of reference.

Suppressors Could the Government Successfully Ban Suppressors

I agree. The restriction of these items and the high barrier to entry into ownership also disencentivises firms from getting into the marketplace. With less competition, prices can remain high - pricing out the average gun owner and 2A supporter who would otherwise love to own a suppressor...

Gunsmithing TL3 prefit to ARC shouldered

I was wondering if I could have my smith cut the shoulder back on a TL3 prefit in order to make a shouldered barrel for an Archimedes/Nucleus? If I remember correctly the tenon length on the ARC is about 5 thousandths longer. I just want to make sure that I’m not missing something conceptually...
