    Suppressors Specwar QD for a bolt or something else?

    I'm taking delivery of a nice 308 bolt from a member here next week. This is my first bolt gun. The only suppressor I have for this caliber is a Specwar 762. Are there better options out there? Should I look at a non QD supressor?

    Rifle Scopes Suggestions on a catilever 30mm scope mount

    I've got a TT which I was going to mount on a bolt gun using ARC rings. Bolt gun is on hold for a while, so I'm looking to mount this on a 6.5G AR. What is the best cantilever mount? I'm looking for something with the least amount of marring or scope compression....if that makes sense. Thanks.

    Ok, here's another thought. I've been in touch with Norm from Defiance machine and he brought up the idea of using a long action with a 308 and a 300 WM bolt and build a switch barrel rifle. Does this sound like a good idea?

    Thanks for the info. I read that the US Army had wanted the M24 chambered for 300 Winmag but had to settle for 308. However they used a long action so they could upgrade the 300 winmag at some time in the future. Was this as simple as changing out the barrel (and bolt face?) ?

    Never had any problems "looking through a straw' with my Aimpoints. I find them superior to the Eotechs I've had (2 currently gathering dust). I have noticed no difference in target acquisition. I find the Eotech reticles ghastly and far too busy for what they are intended for.
