    Shot this pig a few days ago. Got the ‘yote this morning. Berger 85.5gr Hybrid launched at about 3015fps from my hunting weight .22GT. 300 yards. Had to hold .5 mils wind. Same load for both the pig and the ’yote. John

    Also tried 178gr ELDx w/ several different charges of Varget. Shot worse than the other. In my experience, any barrel that shoots this consistently bad will never shoot consistently good. Love the action and the stock seems fine, so I have a Proof prefit ordered. John

    6.5 vs 6 CM for son's range gun

    You might consider chambering the 6.5 CM but run 123s in it. You can push them to 2940ish, at which point they’ll hang with a 6 CM, but recoil is noticeably less than 140s and heavier. Also gain a little barrel life advantage over the 6. John

Both are 20” barrels, one an M24 and the other a 3B. 35.6 gr H4350 behind a Berger 85.5 shot the .216” group out of the M24 contour and the same charge behind the 88gr ELD-M shot the .452” group from the 3B contour.
