    L3i New "Stinger" Barreled action

Good to see more competition in the market. My hope is that this system makes barrel swaps easier with a barrel nut for pre-fit barrels. One thing I noticed in the video is spent case ejection variability. I don't think that it was related to the speed of cycling the bolt. But it could also...

Bang for your buck ammo suggestions

To answer your question: My B-14r seems to like the CCI Standard Velocity well enough to be a positional practice round inside 100yds. It chambers tight and may or may not extract an unfired case, so the tight fitment may be contributing to accuracy. For $4-$5 a box, it may be worth testing...

Bergara B14 action on 700 stock

Usually yes. But like many AICS magazine systems, bottom metal may or my not play nice with the magazine you have. A stock or chassis with an adjustable magazine catch or the L3I magazines that have an adjustable system or some tape/small file job may be required...

Rimfire match related pre-match, pre-stage, during stage, and after stage checklist

Folks, I posted a rimfire specific checklist that I developed for myself and for instructing my children in the competition forum. Hope you find it useful and I'd welcome your comments, suggestions, and additions to make it better...

    Rimfire specific match checklist

Thank you to the members of SH. I've learned so much from this forum and from Lowlight and Marc that I wanted to share what small bit of knowledge I can. I did a cursory search in the forums and could not find a rimfire specific checklist or a checklist broken down in sections that included...

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph

While researching the Xero and waiting for it to restock, I was set on getting a Pelican case and an Arca side mount. But the more I thought about it, I didn't see the harm of testing out a cheap Amazon zippered semi rigid case and using just the tripod. It's been 2 months and 6 range trips...

    Hammerli Straight Pull 10/22

A system to swap a barrel with 2 grub screws and no gunsmith is quick change in my book. I wonder if the action could be smithed to fit a shouldered barrel. Anyways, good to have options for 2A pursuit. Cheers

    Hammerli Straight Pull 10/22

I'll see your odd video and raise you. Take a look at the Hammerli TAC R1 video. It seems to imply that this is the rifle for you if you are a post-apocalyptic cannibal living in the desert (cut away scene). ;) YMMV, happy shooting

    Hammerli Straight Pull 10/22

Like the CZ 457, European gunmakers seem to value quick change barrel systems due to their governmental laws. Depending how well it is done I think that it can be accurate like AI guns and Terminus Zeus actions. But for $649 MSRP, that is a tall order. I do like the adjustable LOP and easy...

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

Somehow EV/Hybrid ownership has turned into a political statement. However, I like EV/Hybrids when used to improve the vehicle's handling and acceleration performance like the Porsche 918, Tesla Roadster, and the Corvette e-Ray. YMMV, happy shooting.

    Hammerli Straight Pull 10/22

Saw a stainless steel summit action tapped to receive a threaded barrel shoot tiny groups at 100 yards. Surprised as I always thought the rotary magazine scoring bullets would be detrimental to accuracy. YMMV, happy shooting

    Hammerli Straight Pull 10/22

Interesting concept, similar to the Volquartsen Summit action but cheaper... Always good to see more options for 22lr. Side bar: What's up with the promo video? It looked like a bad parody of the Hills Have Eyes and Mad Max.

    RCBS Chargemaster vs Autotrickler V3

True, the vertical difference is all extrapolated data from a ballistics table. And valid points on timesaving. Ideally a group comparison at 1000yards would yield real world results, but then the atmospherics will play a much greater role than 1 kernel difference in charge weight for H4350...

    RCBS Chargemaster vs Autotrickler V3

Interesting find on YT. According to 4Gunguy, it took ~25 sec per loaded round when using Autotrickler V3 and ~35 sec per loaded round when using RCBS Chargemaster Lite (no surprises to me in the faster throw). He goes on to show a comparison of the actual thrown weight for 10 throws with the...

    6.5 Creedmoor

Interesting info on these heavier bullet options. Can I ask what type of competition they are shooting these heavier bullets in? PRS, NRL Hunter, ELR, combo of above? Thanks in advance.

Lee rifle die question: Can you full length resize without the decapper?

Yes, found out the hard way. At least it was tested it on range pick up Lapua SRP brass.

Lee rifle die question: Can you full length resize without the decapper?

Thank you all, SH reloading forum rocks. I suspected as much wth the conical top end serving some purpose. I will probably still decap with the hand deprimer but keep the pin/rod in place. The larger flash hole in the Alpha OCD brass is playing nice with the Frankfort hand deprimer... Not so...
