    Thanks. I followed up my old Argos with a Golden Eagle and although it was obviously a better scope the glass quality wasn't some sort of amazing revelation. I'm way more concerned with mechanical accuracy when I'm just shooting short range targets.

    I have had a couple of Argos's in the past with excellent tracking and good-enough glass. I noticed the gen 2 Argos is out now and it mentions upgraded turrets. Anyone have more details on that?

    Tough decision. I've had an ETR and I know it tracks. Bigjimfish's review of the Optika6 gave me some concern over the slight adjustment play in the elevation turret and the lash in the side focus but all-in-all those didn't seem like huge problems to me, just things to be aware of.

    I'm back to looking at a 5-30 vs another Ares ETR. Has anyone been behind both? I still can't get over the locking elevation and uncapped/unlocked windage just because it makes no sense to me but I could deal with it.
