Gunsmithing Make your own Remmy 700 Firing pin tool

Re: Make your own Remmy 700 Firing pin tool Took USHandgunners suggestion and made a new and improved version. I'm going to make a real nice one at work in the morning that is the same concept as this one. I'm going to move the holes up some and put a support between the two angles for the...

Gunsmithing Make your own Remmy 700 Firing pin tool

Re: Make your own Remmy 700 Firing pin tool well the 1/8" angle turned out to not be strong enough so I made a new one with 4x4x1/4" 6061 T6 angle. Mom just got here so I'll get pictures later

Gunsmithing Make your own Remmy 700 Firing pin tool

Re: Make your own Remmy 700 Firing pin tool I may just do that, if I drill it deeper to rest on the shoulder it will take the pressure of the tip of the firing pin tip when compressing the spring. That said I did not notice any negative affect on the pin tip

Rifle Scopes Complications with my SIMRAD cap?

Re: Complications with my SIMRAD cap? I may be wrong and I'm not bashing the seller but that damn sure does not look like any BO ring cap. The cap currently on the BO site has a notch on it. All of the ones seen look like this picture of a BO cap mounted. Notice the screw holes, tue USMC BO...

Bell & Carlson A3 Hook Style Tactical Medalist

Re: Bell & Carlson A3 Hook Style Tactical Medalist That stock is not inherently bad just because it doesn't have flush cups. If you are in the field operating, yes you would want a Manners or McMillan or some $400-700 dollar stock that a tank could drive over and it will sill function. If...

Rifle Scopes 1 in hunting glass

Re: 1 in hunting glass The Fullfield II's are not bad scopes, I have 2 on hunting rifles myself. For lowlight and knob turning I would try the new Monarch X and the Zeiss's are always a good bet. It will be a compromise for a hunting scope with target knobs.

Suppressors New holster for my 1911

Re: New holster for my 1911 Show me one leather holster maker that hasn't copied designs from others and I'll be impressed, there are only so many ways to make holsters. At some point the designs all overlap I paid $45 for this one, but we had a trade too. They normally go for $70

Gunsmithing Make your own Remmy 700 Firing pin tool

Final fixture here, It is made of 1/4" 6061 T6 flat plate with angle bolted to it. Everything else was trial and error junk I made my own because I'm a cheap ass. It's really simple, I used two pieces of 2"x4"x1/8" aluminum angle from my shop, some scrap wood, and a piece of 1/2"...

Re: Did my bolt knob I found a new goody I want to try. It is an octagonal bolt shroud, it will serve no purpose other than looks. It is like the one on Surgeon actions, but I want to check out the guy who makes them, any body have input? Here's a link to the site...

Rifle Scopes Complications with my SIMRAD cap?

Re: Complications with my SIMRAD cap? You have a 30mm or 1" scope tube. If it is a 1" tube there is a spacer that goes in the ring to take up the gap you are talking about. Pictures always hep, just post them by default
