Damn, I was afraid of that. Being that it costs about the same as a rattly MOE stock I didn't figure it would have any type of tensioning device installed.
Last summer I bout a barrel from B King Firearms that has been surprisingly accurate for the amount of money I paid for it. Even comes with a pinned gas block.
Looks like he is blowing them out again...
I'm pretty sure a scope base for a commercial Mauser 98 will fit it. EGW makes a scope base and so does Near manufacturing. With a picatinny base you can get yourself a set of modern style rings and install whatever scope you please...

Something tells me that isn't a roll pin. It's just a hole and what you are seeing is the pivot pin spring. Almost, if not all AR lower receivers have that hole. I think its original purpose is a drain hole.
That's what it looks like to me. I don't have a Solus yet but I'm eyeing them.
