    AR15 Accuracy issues

The WOA is an amazing barrel, 1/2 to 3/4 MOA w/ IMI. The BA it's on its way back, hopefully they'll send me a shooter one. Hell, today I shot consistent 1.5-2 MOA groups w/ a factory Colt 6920 w/ an ACOG at 100 yds w/ crapy reloads.

    AR15 Accuracy issues

White Oak Armament 20" Mid-weight, Wylde (SKU 5WOA20). It's actually pretty heavy even though is called midweight. I think is one inch behind the gas block.

    AR15 Accuracy issues

There was nothing wrong w the rifle. No loose parts, or bad scope, or brake... just a bad barrel on its way back to the manufacturer. Same rifle, same ammo, but a new White Oak Armament barrel... Amazing !! Consistently 3/4 - 1/2 MOA !!

    AR15 Accuracy issues

First group I shot out of my buddy’s AR that has a Rainier barrel was just around 1 MOA, may b less. Same ammo. Didn’t bother to measure bc it was painfully obvious there was something wrong with my rifle. He shot mine and got the same shitty results, and this guy is not a noob. He has shot the...

    AR15 Accuracy issues

Yep, completely free floated, nothing touching the barrel. Barrel nut tightened to about 45 ft/pound. I'm starting to "read" (i.e. shop around, lol) for new barrels. I have the feeling this barrel will have to go back to BA. White Oak Armory, Rainier Arms Ultramatch, Odin Works, Criterion from...

    AR15 Accuracy issues

I put together an AR15 with different parts. Plan was to use it for gas matches PRS style, of which we have a couple a year locally. Distance out to 800 yds give or take. I used a generic upper/handguard and lower that fit pretty well. Bolt/carrier is standard mil spec from PSA nothing special...

    223 Trainer

I do reload but my point is that I don't want to reload for 223/556, just want to shoot factory (good or bad stuff). So that the 223 Wylde is starting to make sense. Thanks

    223 Trainer

^ I get that, I meant to say what would be the advantage of a 223 Match chamber over a Wylde? Throat length allowing for heavier pills? but if so it would be at the expense of not being able to shoot 556? Even if good quality ammo.

    223 Trainer

Planning on a budget 223 trainer. Not really excited about reloading 223/556. So that I would like to shoot factory stuff, whatever I can get. I do realize that accuracy may suffer. Would you guys do a 223 Match chamber w a longer throat or a 223 Wylde w/ less inherent accuracy?. Thx

    Tikka or Badrock

If you're planning on doing prefits down the road, I would do Tikka. The Bedrock uses a variant of the Tenacity action but with a coned nose bolt and unless someone is making prefits (none that I know - similar issue w/ Vergara) you are going to have to pay a smith to rebarrel it. On the other...

Rifle Scopes Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30x56 vs Vortex Viper Gen 2 5-25x50

I have both. To me the the Viper gen 2 has slightly better glass, to my eyes, the ETR glass sort of falls apart in the upper end of magnification. On the other hand, the ETR has a lot more travel, something like 34 vs 25 MILs. A year ago we had an ELR match w targets all the way out to 550 yds...
