    Re: oversized muzzle brake caliber opening Less efficient for sure. Without a doubt alot of factors have plenty of effect on muzzle brake performance. Put it on, try it. If he's happy, great. If he's not happy at least he knows it will work a shitload better if puts one on with the correct exit.

    Re: Rem 721 trigger questions Alot of those 2 sear triggers adjust down very nice. If it passes all the safety tests after adjustment go with it. They work fine and some exceptionaly well. I've done plenty of them.

    Re: what the problem is? At least it still has rifleing...I rebarreled a Sako 243 a few years ago for customer with absolutly no trace of rifleing left in it. it must have shot terriblr for sever thousand rounds before he had a barrel put on it.

    Re: caliber for 1000yds but under 30 cal. I have a 7-08 that I built for tactical competition. It's been out to 1K twice now with good results. 162 A Max at 2750 with RL17. It bucks the wind similar to a 260 but should have alot better barrel life. It stays supersonic to over 1300 yards.
