    Guided meat hunt.

    I’m graduating from varmint and bird hunting and want to go for either deer or antelope. I’m looking for a guided or semi-guided meat hunt somewhere in the western US. Prefer an outfit that can help me and my boy learn the basics. I have most of the gear I’ll likely need.

    If you’re good on pre-reqs, are local and a member, I’d do it. I’m sure you’ll learn something. Hell, just getting the reps is a good thing.

    Did you meet the pre-reqs for this class? Front Sight is good for basics, but there's not a lot of nuance. It's like they start you on a basic drill and make them a bit harder as the class progresses. I did not qualify DG for the marksmanship class so I won't be doing the precision rifle course...

    I'm gonna circle back to an earlier point: SCCA-Sports Car Club of America is a model the shooting community should examine. Very similar issues with gear races, developing skills and staying relevant. The old school divisions like Formula Ford and others are still there for the big money folks...

    Anyone regret lasik?

    I haven’t had lasik (yet), but I had horrible dry eyes for years. Several different docs couldn’t figure it out and it just went away. I’ve heard lasik can cause this, but it can also just pop up.
