    When I first saw this rifle, I thought that it was exactly what I had been wanting to build as a general purpose rifle. Anyone have one, and what are your thoughts, besides "it's a GAP!" (which is inherently goodness).

    Re: 1 in a Million...Chip McCormick Mag failure? The CMC Powermags are some of the best mags out there. The welded baseplate model, as shown above, are the lower end product. It still should not break, but anything made by man can fail.

    Re: LMT MWS barrel threads.... You may just need a shim. I think LMT also threads the barrel a bit too long for some devices.

    Re: Zeiss Conquest I have had a bunch of Conquests, and I think they are awesome for hunting scopes. My picks would be the the ranging reticle models with the parallax fixed at 300 yds. The adjustable parallax models are/were a little weak on adjustment range.

    Re: Glock 34 Older Glocks are tanks. Stay away from gen4, Glock is still trying to unscrew them (recoil spring Assy, ejector, extractor, slide lock spring and who knows what next). I had a 34, it was a laser. I had about 8K rounds through it when I sold it. It had never choked.

    Re: Aimpoint M4 question for an owner IIRC, they are intended to have some free movement without changing settings. It keeps it from changing when rubbing on gear.

    Re: FN MK20 SSR I spoke with one of the FN guys at a 3 gun shoot last fall and he stated that, at that time, they had not done the engineering to reconfigure the lower to a semi-auto only trigger pack. He sad it might be a while for a civilian version.
