    Bigwheel, will you COL allow you to magazine feed? I have an action, bottom metal, and AICS mags that I could use, but I think I can only get like 3.625" COL in the mag.

    .338 Winchester Mag vs .300 Win Mag vs .338 Laupa

    338 WM is not going to shoot the ultra high BC 300gr bullets with enough velocity to be very effective at ELR like the Lapua. If you are only interested in shooting the light 220gr to 230gr 338 bullets then you would be better off shooting the much higher BC 230gr .308 billets out of the 300Wm.

    bottom metal options for savage short action

    They have a kind of half ass fix for the trigger guard bolt release. You have to jb weld a little lever on to the release that protrudes up were they use to. It works, just wish they would come up with something better.
