Just put a deposit on a complete Hancock rifle. Decided on the complete rifle since it would have only been about $150 more than a barreled action(cut rifling) and trigger. Amazing value for what you get. Assuming you will need a copy of an FFL to ship it to?
Would you recommend button or cut rifling? Not set on this yet, but think I will order soon, if i can decide if I can afford the extra.
Any experience with northland shooters supply? Trued 700 actions are only 445-480.
I am currently looking for a new rifle. I can't decide on a savage 12 lrp or a trued 700 with a criterion remage barrel. Both would be in 6.5 creedmoor. Also would consider a bergara or other factory or low cost aftermarket option. Already have a vortex razor hd gen 2 4.5-27 to go on it. Buddy...
i have worked up to 46.0gr with a 175smk in lapua brass and had no issues with pressure, with the few that i had shot, but i settled for 43.5 as it shoots .5moa from my sps varmint.
im running 47.2gr varget with lapua brass in a factory barreled action 700 sps varmint, with 155 lapua scenars at 2935, single digit SD. about .4 to .8" depending on the day.
these are with a 700 sps varmint 26" 1-12 twist.

no, you can only compare bullets of the same model/weight, they cant be mismatched for an accurate comparison with a comparator. based on the COAL they are fine, 2.80 is a standard length for .308.
what is everyones preference between redding type s bushing and forster benchrest sizing dies? i have only been reloading for about 6mos and i have only used standard rcbs dies, and now that i have the hang of it i want to upgrade dies. i currently load for .223 and .308. i have an rcbs rock...
originally i was dead set on the swfa 3-15x42, and so thats why i had the mount already, i then decided against it, and i didnt really want to sell the mount or return it, so i needed other choices for a 30mm scope.
this was fired at 250yds with a 700 sps varmint, with a b&c 2094 and timney 510. i wasnt able to come up with a conclusion for what the accuracy nodes were. so i reloaded them up again at what i knew based on velocity was needed to benefit over 175smks at 1000. which 48.0 was at 2892. so i...
