    Guys, I'm looking to get an ACOG for my carbine. I've narrow it down to two options. However, I can't figure out what the difference is between these two sku's (TA31RCO-M4CP vs TA31RCO-M150). What's the difference? The specs seem to read identical. What am I missing?

    I have multiple Sandman S and a Nomad. Between the two it's very hard to hear the difference. I switch between both on my AK as well as my Tavor. They're both pretty comparable but at least on my guns I find the Sandman to have less blowback - especially on the Tavor.

    Sandman S is a fantastic choice... I actually own three so I’m a little biased. I also have a Nomad. For an SBR I’d hands down pick the Sandman. The Sandman is Dead Air’s version of a mil-spec durability can. The Nomad is more of a consumer level product.

    Sandman’s KeyMO Mount is permanently attached. Only option is to swap out the Cherry Bomb. I’m not aware of ANY other way to make this configuration work. A machinist may be able to do major surgery on the Sandman. It at that point you’re totally on your own without any warranty.

    I think that should identify the issue... With my SIG, ammo in the 990-1050fps range seems to work fine. The stuff slower than that is a no-go.

    Have you chronographed what you're making? I originally tried HUSH ammo with mine since it seems to be highly recommended and it was a jam-fest. It's velocity was right around 900fps and didn't work correctly at all for me.

    It should... Stovepipes are typically caused when a spent casing is not ejected far enough - or fast enough - to clear the ejection port. That energy comes from the powder charge. Question... Have you tried any commercial 147g ammo? That would at least give you a benchmark to work toward...
