    Decent/better Ar10 receivers?

I have a 6.5 Creedmoor and a 6mm Creedmoor built up on Aero. The 6.5 is awesome. The 6mm works as well, but has issues with the barrel/chamber. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I will switch the barrel 6mm and it should run like a clock.

Pros / Cons Of CMC AR15 Trigger? Flat 3.5 lb Version

I had 2 of the CMC 2+2 Flat Triggers. Functioned pretty well. The break was not bad as was the reset. Only thing I didn't care for was the play between the trigger housing and the receiver. It was noticeable. It would actually rock around. Tried it in 4 different receivers from 4 different...

Trigger upgrade - best 2 stage for 2020?

Triggertech is excellent. The SSA-E and HSNM Geiselle's are excellent as well. Elftmann makes a nice 2 stage trigger and AR Gold is great. The LaRue is a good price but a basic upgrade from a standard AR trigger. I had 4 and dont have any now. If looking for a great 2 stage and have th funds or...

AR10 with 6.5 Upper showing signs of overpressure

That's ugly... never seen anything like that with mine

AR10 with 6.5 Upper showing signs of overpressure

My 6.5 Creedmoor has an SLR adjustable gas block and JP SCS buffer in an H2 setup and an Aero BCG. No blown or pierced primers. Most commonly used load is a 147 ELD with a mid table charge of H4350 that makes good groups. The brass isn't beat and lasts through multiple loadings. Max table powder...

AR10 with 6.5 Upper showing signs of overpressure

My 6mm was doing the same thing. It had a Toolcraft BCG. Get an HP bolt. I just put one from JP in mine and that all disappeared. I went through the same thing. Headspace suggestions, adjusting the SLR GB, buffer weights and springs... the bolt worked.

MK15 Mod 0 and Mod 1 info request

No, was just wondering about the contour of the barrel.

    Receiver coating

Thought I'd ask for opinions and expertise here because mine with bolt rifles is limited. Last bolt action I had was a factory Browning. I know I'm probably crazy, but now I'd like to have a custom. I have a McMillan action that is new and just the blasted finish. All I've been doing is...

MK15 Mod 0 and Mod 1 info request

Thanks for the reply. I found that on Lilja's site as well. The navy contour is on their factory rifles, I was just wondering if the contour differed. Hard to tell from pictures and by drawings that are not to scale. They are probably the same. Thanks again for looking and posting. Greatly...

MK15 Mod 0 and Mod 1 info request

Does anyone know the barrel contour on the MK15's? I've looked and on McMillan's site it says that their offerings of the Tac-50 uses Lilja chromemoly barrels with a Navy contour. Is this the same for MK15 or is it changed? Most photos I see the profile looks a little different, but I could be...

    6.5 Creedmoor in AR

I've had my 6.5 Creedmoor for a while. Put a lot of rounds through it. Feeding has never been a problem. Same now with my 6mm Creedmoor. One thing you may want to watch is the bolts. I am running standard on both. Primer cratering was happening on both. The adjustable gas block and silent...

    Mega 6.5 Creedmoor Teaser!

I went through a bout of trying triggers to find something to standardize on in my rifles. The SD-E and SSA-E are the same trigger with the exception of the bow. I've had both and they are nice in both my 6.5 & 6 Creedmoor. Worked well in my 6.5 Grendel as well. I do prefer a curved bow...

Rifle Scopes Scope and Mounts for Large Frame Precision AR

I have a couple large frames. One 6.5 and the other 6mm Creedmoors. Both are using Larue LT745 20 MOA mounts. One with a Steiner 3-12x50 Military and the other an M5Xi 55-25x56. The mounts work well and eye relief is good. The QD return to zero is real good, but I doubt I'd go with QD again...

    Suppressors Suppressor covers

I was in the same position recently. My can was in jail and I was looking for a cover. There are a lot of choices and I looked at a wide variety. I finally narrowed to SiCo, Burn Proof and Rifles Only. Finally got my stamp and did a measurement. Decided to go with a Rifles Only HAD. I've...

Suppressors Reasons NOT to direct thread?

I got my can with a QD mount. Primary reason being I can use it on multiple rifles easily. As my collection of suppressors grows I have considered switching a couple to DT to dedicate them to a particular rifle.

Ultimate... Frustration? (What to do about my LaRue)

I can understand your frustration. My experience with the Grendel has been the opposite. My 20" with a Satern barrel groups really well with factory Hornady ammo (AMax and SST 120-123). Handload SST's got even better. The 18" that I had (friend owns it now) also did and does well on factory...

Suppressors Suppressor High Temp Cover or Not

I just got my supressor and first trip out ran about 80 rounds through it. This was all on AR platforms. 5.56, 6.5 Grendel, 6mm Creedmoor and 6.5 Creedmoor. I have a Saker 762 ASR. I got a Rifles Only HAD for it. I know overkill, but thought it may be better for the in case logic. The cover...

    .284 win ar-10

I had thought about a 7mm-08 when putting my AR10's together. I didn't go with it because while I really like 7mm, it's the heavier projectiles that have high stats. Those heavies would have to be seated pretty deep decreasing case capacity. I ended up with a Creedmoor one of each flavor...
