    Head to head, the 300NM has less drop and windage then a 338LM when shooting the heavies. I run a 26" 300NM pushing 245gr LRHT at 2953FPS.

    I believe the 280 uses the 308 bolt face. If you can get it to work, will probably be a modded ASR 308 magazine. The better question would be what barrel are you going to use? ASR is a M30 or 1.350 shank barrel not your run of the mill 1.250 blank is going to work on this application.
