    Gunsmithing bolt wont close on ammo but does fine on gauges

    Set up a barrel yesteday..Everything went smoothly on the go-no go gauges however,it won't close on factory ammo..Action is a REM 700, caliber is 338 Federal.. ADVICE???

My C.O.A.L. is way shorter than than it could be due to the magazine length so i know the bullet isn't touching but my bolt is farely tough to close..It opens with no trouble and the primers show no signs of pressure.I also don't always...

    Is moly coating worth the extra on bulletts?? I know it helps with barrel fouling but does it really make a barrel last any longer?? Or do todays low friction bullets take that out of the equation?? Any feedback would be appreciated..

    Rifle Scopes Turrets turning

    I have a Leupold MK4 LR/T mounted on a hunting gone.I took it hunting for the first time two weeks ago and had a problem with turrets turning while I carried it.It actually caused me to miss the first two animals I shot at.What is or can be done to lock the turrets down while carrying??
