    20" Barrel not good enough?

    I told a friend of mine at work i picked up a 700 SPS tactical with the 20" barrel. He thinks i am an idiot for getting a 20" barrel! He said i wont keep a good group a 300 yard with it. Is this true or is he crazy?

    Whats the difference?

    I have been looking for a SPS Tactical, all i can find is the SPS V. Aside from the barrel length what is the difference? Is the quality and different? Would you guys wait it out untill the Tactical comes around or just pick up a V? If i was to buy a V i would want to cut the barrel down a bit...
