    Bolt Action with Iron Sights

I'm thinking I might want an older rifle with iron sights. Something with a wood stock. Considering I don't know a lot about rifles like this I'll ask for your thoughts. This would not be something I would really want to put a scope on.

    Which would you choose?

Between a POF, Sig 716, and DPMS G2? This would be mostly for range use, with occasional hunting.

    Primers for 6.5x47L

What primer is everyone using for this cartridge? I just ordered a barrel in this chambering, I'm trying to get an idea what to look for as far as components.

    Primers after pulling bullets

So I recently got rid of my 22-250 and I had some loaded rounds left over. I am pulling the bullets now and I am wondering what to do with the primers. Any ideas?

    Shooting Using Non-dominant eye

So I am right handed but I am left eye dominant. I have always shot scoped rifles using my right eye but it seems like it would be much easier and more comfortable to shoot using my left eye. All of my rifles are right handed. Any advice? Should I practice shooting left handed?

    308 bullet choice

I am curious to see what is the most popular bullet weight for 308 win. Please feel free to explain why you think your particular choice is the best. Not concerned with hunting/target, just your favorite 308 bullet weight.

    $2000-$2500 rifle

I am mulling around a few ideas and I am looking at different guns, custom or factory. There just doesn't seem to be any precision/tactical bolt action rifles in this price range. Any ideas/suggestions? I'm thinking short action calibers.

    Savage stock compatibility

I have a McMillan A5 on the way and it was ordered for a Savage Model 10 with the trigger guard bolt release. I am trying to find out if a Model 12 action with side bolt release will fit in that stock. Maybe if someone has both models with DBM they can compare the stock inlets and see if they...

    WSM's or SAUM's in short (18") barrel

Maybe I'm crazy...I am thinking about trying a 300 WSM or SAUM in an 18" barrel. Does anyone have any experience with a short mag in a shorter barrel? I realize that these cartridges weren't exactly designed for short barrels. What I'm looking at is running this on a short action with lighter...

    6.5 barrel length / velocity

What is the shortest barrel length I could have with a 260 rem/6.5x47L/6.5 creedmoor and still be able to reach 2600 fps with 139/140 gr bullets?

    Sizing after pulling bullets

If I were to pull some bullets, would I need to size the case again before I load them back up? Just curious about neck tension. They are .308 in Lapua brass.

    Headspace question

I recently rebarrelled my savage with a criterion barrel. I used forster go and no go Gages to set the headspace. I loaded up a few rounds with forster fl sizing die and ultra micrometer seating die. My problem is that the bolt is hard to close on some rounds. The rifle chambers fine on the go...

    6x47 or 6.5x47

I am looking to rebarrel my 308 to one of these calibers. I will be using it for deer hunting, coyote hunting and target shooting out to possibly 800 yards. Does anyone see any advantage of one over the other for my intended purpose? I plan to go with a 24" to 26" barrel.

    Oversized Recoil Lug / Savage

I am in the process of installing my new Criterion barrel on my Savage model 10. I also got an oversized recoil lug with my new barrel. It measures about .240". This obviously much larger than the stock recoil lug. My problem is that it does not fit in the inlet of the accustock. The inlet...
