    Origin with shouldered prefit is a good option. Viper barrel vise is like $50 and action wrench about $85 last time I looked. That's all the tooling that you need.

    Another hunting scope thread, but with a twist…

    Razor 1-10 or NF 1-8 Would be my choice. It seems a lot of folks even use open sight for DG. I think a lpvo would serve you well. I’m going to SA with a NF 2-10 this year but will be after plains game and shots could be much farther.

    Armalite here too and love taking it out on occasion. Recoil is mild but concussion is significant.

    A few hundred bucks isn't much when we're talking scopes over $1000 and "better" is subjective. FFP being better for hunting is also subjective, especially when dealing with 10x top end.
