    Night Vision PVS-31A vs PVS-31D

As someone who bought from Steele, and has had several other friends buy from Steele, all of us wish that we had bought elsewhere at this point. The pricing was good, and for some of the issues I personally ran into, they did show great enthusiasm to make it right (which they were successful...

Night Vision Laser/light combos: DBAL D2 + white light, or Kiji + laser + WL? Or 3EIR Vulcan?

You can definitely mount it without having to use their offset 1913 mount. It won't be as clean, but the tape switch comes with both adhesive hook & loop and two little zip ties to facilitate this. You can see a picture of the tape switch without the backing plate and offset 1913 mount here...

Night Vision Laser/light combos: DBAL D2 + white light, or Kiji + laser + WL? Or 3EIR Vulcan?

I'm not 100% certain, but I would assume you could program the switch that way (I am still waiting for my pre-order RAID Xe to ship). Button 1 on the triple button dual lead is always going to control the light (no disabling of that functionality is my understanding), and I would assume that you...

Night Vision Laser/light combos: DBAL D2 + white light, or Kiji + laser + WL? Or 3EIR Vulcan?

Why would the proprietary switch be an issue if you can fit a TAPS Sync? My triple button dual lead Xe tapeswitch is shorter in both length and height than my TAPS Sync. The RAID-Xe also has vis override available.

Night Vision Active vs. Passive Aiming

LIFs do filter out IR. In fact, that's what they're designed to do. The key thing to remember is that IR is a broad spectrum: 700nm to 1,000,000nm. LIFs were designed specifically to filter out 1064nm Nd:YAG lasers that were commonly used in various targeting systems by both NATO and ComBloc...

Night Vision Custom Night Vision Exclusive Pricing on DBAL D2, A3 and 9007 i2

At least for me, the black ones have a discount, but the tan ones do not. Not sure if that's intended.

    Night Vision Ops Core AMP

My AMPs were also quite uncomfortable, sitting too tight and bringing noticeable pressure in about a half hour, until I stretched out the headband. After that, I have all-day comfort in them, comparable, if not better, than my old MSA/Sordin Supreme X's with gel cups.

Night Vision Best NOD helmet for the money?

Everyone I've talked to has stated that the newest generation of FAST helmets are far more comfortable than the old ones. Running RNVGs, I found my FAST SF to be way more comfortable than my TW SAR Tactical, despite the SAR being far lighter. The weight issue I think is overrated; if anything...

Night Vision HEADS-UP - Vectronix COTI deal!

The ring is what you use to mount to the objective of the NODs; the rail-like interface is how the COTI mounts on. Same deal with the eyepiece. Note the rails up top behind the injector, that is where the rail-like interface, uh, interfaces.

    Wilcox Raid-Xe

There now more information on the Xe now, looks like it's much more than just a class 1 rendition of the RAID-X: https://www.wilcoxind.com/product/product_combat_raid-xe.php Looks like MSRP has also gone up.

Night Vision Colors and coatings for camo

IME, my MultiCam-esque rattlecanning with Aervoe shows noticeable contrast and coloration while under IR, more so than my MultiCam fabric.

    Night Vision Coti battery packs

I could see water and dust egress issues being a big reason why the use of a USB battery pack doesn't make much sense, while an 18650 in a COTI would be a decent amount of additional bulk up front.

    Triggertech AR10 Diamond... Pure SEX!

Whelp, this was a bust. The hammer is too wide to fit the hammer channel in my SR-25 CC's BCG.

    Triggertech AR10 Diamond... Pure SEX!

Does the AR10 reliably set off harder military surplus/M80 clone primers? I've had a fair number of light strikes while using a Geissele SD-C on PP, Federal, and MEN M80 clones, along with a friend's reloads that uses S&B primers.

Night Vision Lens Protection for NVGs

I find that the Wilcox protective covers when used on the objectives will cause pretty noticeable glare from light sources, which is annoying in urban environs, and potentially distracting/causes a loss in SA. I personally don't run with them unless I see a need for them, e.g., force on force.

    Night Vision Poor Man’s MAWL

I had emailed them about vis override capabilities with the TAPS Sync, as one of the SHOT 2020 posts I had read made that claim, which I had not heard anywhere else.

    Night Vision Poor Man’s MAWL

The RAID-X does not have the extra port either, that I know for sure. That being said, in speaking with Unity, they apparently do have a vis override capability they've been working on. So, that's pretty cool.

    Night Vision Poor Man’s MAWL

A bit of a thread resurrection, but do you have a source for that? I only see a single port in the pictures of the NGAL. I see claims that the TAPS Sync can provide an electronic override signal, but the claim states it also works with the RAID-X, which I have not been able to replicate.
