this is probably the car at her worst, the day of delivery to me. Today she runs and drives and I am getting ready to put her up for sale in a few weeks.
Thanks guys. I do think SH had a big hand in it. Got all the parts except the action here. Have not shot it yet but the scope will go on this weekend I hope and then some time next week will go shoot for the first time.
Well here it is. My first real build. Started off wanting to build a light weight 7mm-08 and ended up with a 13.8 pond 6x47 Lapua. Someone please tell me where I went wrong. Stiller Tac30 action, Bartlien barrel chambered by Beanland, .3000 recoil lug, 517 Timney @ 2.5 lbs and AICS 2.0...
So here I am building a nice tactical rifle/coyote killer ( my friend swares there are coyotes in the California Valley, and I am wondering about keeping track of my shots. Keeping track of my shots is more for the rifle than it is me. I have developed my own shooting skills to the point of...
I was thinking about that but I did some measurements and it is just a bit short so I don't have to do anything. Thanks again everyone for the info. jonathan
so I have an ACIS 2.0 stock and the action and barrel i have to put in it has a 3.0 recoil lug. The stock itself is set up for a standard recoil lug and i am just trying to confirm that it is OK to open up the lug recess area for the thicker lug. It sure looks like there is plenty of meat...
this seems like it may be true but the problem I have (not practical) with loading is doesn't that mean you have to rely on muscle memory?? and isn't that bad? or do you load somehow without using muscles to keep it loaded. I guess that is another thread though. Sent from my SM-N900V using...
I am new to this game and recently got one for my tactical rifle. I opened mine and immediately called my brother who has more experience than I do and he said put a load on it too. Are you kidding? Even when closed mine moves around a bit and and rattles. Is this really the way it is...
I first want to say I am nowhere near the shooter you guys are but I already took the PR plunge. I wanted to build a 7mm08 and it just happened the only barrel PR had in stock was a 7mm 1.25 inch zero taper 22 inch long blank. Since I am a suckered for a bull barrel I was in. I just hope the...
That is very cool. I was looking at that chassis fir a while but it just seemed too short for the long barrel I was doing. That though looks perfect. Into the future rifle build file it goes. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
The Kimber is 7mm08. It has a cheap Zeiss on it now. Always shoots to point of aim and is more accurate than I am for 3 shots in quick succession. Any more and it starts to string but that is due to the pencil barrel. For sale?? I actually have it up right now but am having second thoughts...
I didn't think about the fact that the 8400 is bigger than the 84. As for the factory tactical rifle I was really thinking about customs built by others and I have also heard about accuracy being hit or miss. Just want to see what others have done with the 84. Sent from my SM-N900V using...
Why or why not. Any pictures. Not Factory rifles. Just custom. I have an 84 Montana I was thinking of selling or using for a custom build. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
