Help new reloader read preasure signs 7prc

The primer looks perfectly normal to me, but I can't account for the other markings, but to ask if Hornady brass in that cartridge, is a bit softer? Chris

Remington 9 1/2 LR Primer Trouble for 22-250

Sinclair LR/SR pocket uniformers, with Hornady reamers, should get any issues squared away (pun intended.) Chris

    338 Lapua Magnum

At one point in January of '06, I had every die for the .338 LM and then settled on the Redding body die, FL S resizer, Neck S die and the Forster Comp seater. I'm just a hack, but I've shot/loaded the .338LM for many years and this stuff just works for me. Chris

Before I ruin this nice brass how are the cool kids resizing?

I generally body size and then use an appropriate neck bushing. I realize that some don't ascribe to this method, but that's what I do, however I'm just a hack. Chris

What are the best value, NON-Chinese Flashlights under $100?

For $100, or less and American made, get a used SF 6P off of Ebay and then try and source a P60 drop-in LED module. I bought a Redilast (USA) 3 mode, 1.5A, 500L module ($45) and installed that. Twist the tail cap and you advance through each of the three modes. Chris

    Chronograph??

My PACT Model 1 had served me well for 20 years, until recently. I can send it in with a check for $15 and they'll send me a new one, but I'm not shooting much over these past 7 years. Chris

Long range shooting ranges in Miami FL area

I'm in Miami and there aren't any. I've gone up to West Palm Beach, at the Sherriff's range where they have 300 yards open maybe 6 times in a year. If you have a car and you're set on 1000 yards, go over to the west coast and shoot at Manatee, which is 209 miles from my home and south of...

    Reloading Purchase List

Dillon 550c. With your cartridge choices, you don't seem to be cranking out massive amounts for any cartridge? A Lee cast iron press might be another option for less cash, but it's only a single stage. How much that you will be reloading, is the issue. Chris

    Load recommendation

You have proper powders and GMM primers, so in my opinion, I’d just go with the latter and the 168s and just see what you see. Reloading is an inherently ‘learning process.’ Chris

    Load recommendation

Get your powders and primers in order, get a couple manuals and just load up 15-20 rounds of each charge rate and then go shoot them for groups and fine tune things. Remember to change only one variable at a time and use similar brass with the same headstamp. If you're not testing at 800-1000...

Do you guys inside/outside chamfer your fired brass even if not sizing?

For new target-type brass, I uniform the primer pockets and deburr & champher the necks. I sleep better at night. Chris

    Necksize vs FL size 338LM

I alternate between neck sizing, FL sizing and annealing, but I’m just a hack. I started loading for my TRG in January of 2006, so I have a little bit of experience. Chris

    338 Lapua Magnum

I’ve only used a Lapua and Norma and had a neck split on a Norma after only two cycles. I’m on 12-13 with the Lapua. Can’t speak to the others, but I’m a Lapua fan. Chris

New to reloading. Just got gear, now what..

Yep...get a few reloading manuals and read each a few times, especially the 'how to' sections. Nobody here is going to be able to school you on he 'basics' of reloading. Until you study the hobby, by reading, you'll be at a disadvantage. Don't take shortcuts when reloading, as you can blow...
