    Chamber Question/Education

I was hoping for a little education about chambers and bullet sizes, specific to these new “heavy for caliber” bullets. How does chamber cut influence performance with various sized bullets? Or is it not even a thing? Specifically, I have a match chamber for a .300 PRC set for 225gr...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I’m working on a .300 Norma Build in the CDG. Since it is “optimized” for AW mags…and since we can hammer in the lip on AIAX mags… Does anyone know if AIAX magazines for CIP 338 Lapua will work with the CDG in an MPA chassis?

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

How that CDG working out on the Lapua? Smooth cycling? I’m about to pull the trigger on a .300 Norma CDG I’m just apprehensive about the whole feeding/conical breech…blah blah blah. Tell me she’s solid.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Question for those with hand on experience with the CDG and Impact actions…which do you find to be smoother. I’m about to pull the trigger on getting a 300 NM and I’m struggling between the two actions. I think I’m leaning towards CDG but obviously Impact comes with a lot of legacy.

    ARC Coup de Grace Builds

Bro, give me all the details. How does it feed? Is it smooth in comparison to like a Defiance or Impact? Did you go conical breech on barrel or flat? I was planning on getting MPA to build a 300 NM on an Impact before they went to the CDG. There isn’t a lot of info out there on the CDG and the...

    300 Norma Build Help

I know I’ll get crucified here, but I don’t plan on reloading (i.e pushing velocity), just shooting factory Berger…maybe mild reloads. I have a 23lbs 300 PRC which is a pleasure to shoot so I’m mainly trying to match the weight for that reason (different chassis system than the PRC). I’ve...

    300 Norma Build Help

I seriously considered a ST 1.25”, I was afraid at 30”, that’d be a lot of weight free floated. Or is that not a problem?

    300 Norma Build Help

Alright fellas, need help on 2 fronts, barrel shank and contour. I’m planning on building a 300 Norma, I know there are bigger (arguably more suitable) actions thank can accept 1.35” shank barrels, but bear with me as I’m limited to a 1.25” shank and chassis system. I’m aiming for a heavy...

MDT Tac21 Chasis and aftermarket actions

Anyone know if any aftermarket actions fit or if the MDT can be cut to fit aftermarket actions such as Spiller, GAP Templar, or Surgeon? Or is it solely made to fit Rem 700? I would assume that, because of the integrated rail on the Templar or Surgeon for example, the MDT would not accept...

    Question Over Actions and Coatings

Thanks for all the great info. It seems like if I went with a thinner coating (IonBond, Melonite, etc.) the Templar action ought to suffice where as for thicker coatings, the Surgeon performs a little better and, at the very least, the Templar action will have to have additional prep. Any of...

    Question Over Actions and Coatings

Hello All...new member, longtime reader. I have a question to those owners/operators on Surgeon vs Templar actions. Before anyone face palms, I've done as much searching and research as I can, to no avail. What I have determined is that, both actions are good and I couldn't go wrong with...
