Hello all, The subject mostly says it all, but of course there's a lot more details to share. I'm an avid PRS shooter, well as much as I can find in central Canada. I'm heading to Tampa December 6th for a few days and would love to squeeze in some training while my wife is busy working...
Thank you everyone for all the responses! I thought there was gonna be a lot of conflicting opinions on this, It's refreshing to see everyone agree. I've set my Giruard trimmer to 1.760, and as per my usual process I trim after every sizing. My brass will never get beyond 1.760, and I won't...
Hello, I’m trying to understand something that I feel is not addressed very well within the reloading community, and that is trim length. I’m sure that there is going to be a LOT of varying opinion on this subject, but MY end goal is to achieve the most consistent bullets possible so that...
Thank you so very much for all of this. This is exactly the info I've been trying to find. I'm trying to work out my optimal setup for prs matches. When I walk up to a stage i want to find, then range my targets, write the dope on my wrist and be ready to shoot. It freaks me out a little...
Follow up... Ok, so it's been a few days since I originally posted here and sent a message to Sig Sauer online support though a web form. I live in Canada, and was hoping to avoid paying some long distance phone charges. As you can see, not a lot of activity here, but that's to be...
Hello everyone. I've had my new toy about 5 days now, and just can't seem to figure something out. I have the 10k with a weather flow meter, both are Bluetooth and seem to talk to each other sometimes.... I can't see to find any documents or videos explaining how to do this on a regular...
Awesome thank you all for the advice and knowledge. Firstly I want to be safe. I like where all my body parts are currently located. I kinda thought this was a little fast. I was using a very safe load of 20.42gn but the velocity was only 2560ft/s and was killing me in the wind. Pushing up...

I actually don't have a load recipe. I know, your probably cringing right now. I took the 80 & 90 grains and extrapolated where I thought I should be, and have been slowly increasing powder.. it's fantastic for PRS no recoil and the wind is manageable.
Thanks a bunch for your thoughts. I'm jammed into the lands. Currently dropping .4 GN and will test tomorrow. What do you mean by "blank the primer" flatten?
Rifle is surgeon action 223 Wylde. 25" Bartlien bull barrel 1/7 twist 24.0gn Imr8208 powder Lapua virgin brass CCI 400 primers Hornady 88 eld At 24.00gn of powder I get a velocity of 2834f/s. But I'm seeing over pressure signs, in fact 1 blown primer. See attached pic. It may have been a damp...
I just made a bag myself out of cordura and bean bad chair filler. The same as poly fill. It weighs next to nothing and works great for PRS matches. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
